What's Thea owed?

All the money put in by her late husband for a start. I'm sure her investment didn't end there either so I would say it's quite a sizeable amount given that she also put forward enough to make sure the new stand was completed.

I think Martin will have a few quid to spend if he needs it but i'm not worried if he doesn't spend anything. I'm happy with the squad as it is now and maybe with another addition i can see us doing well again this season. It's nice to have a bit of cash if a player becomes available but if Lingy feels he can bring people in on frees or out of contracts and be successful then more benefit to the club.

I don't see the whereabouts and usage of money as an issue.
Ling has said he has money available if we need it, and we are actually in a rare position of strength. We have a good squad of 22, a strong starting 11 already. We can afford to trial a few random players now - if they've not got it, no harm done. If Ling finds a diamond in the rough then the money is there to pick them up. Likewise if the side doesn't perform to his liking early season, then the money is there for a well considered loan or purchase.
I'd much rather the money is used wisely than lavishly splashed around as a statement of intent.

What a great position to be in. A cool half a million in the bank before a ball has been kicked in anger.
I'd imagine the board are feeling pretty good about the summer's dealing and Thea will get a chunk of her loan repaid.
What a good time to be a supporter of TUFC!

Forgive me if I'm being dumb here - I'm not overly familiar with how the Bristows invested in the club. But, I thought the monies put into the club by the Bristows were pure benevolence? I wasn't aware that it was money that was expected to be repaid. I believe Mrs. Bristow continued to support the club financially after her husband unfortunate passing, and it seems that this would be separate arrangement and of course subject to repayment. It's just that I was not aware that any of the money that Mr. Bristow contributed was as a loan rather than 'gift'.
Of course, it's entirely feasible that I missed the press release or club statement saying that it was all a loan (presumably at a low rate of interest).

Money was invested in the club by way of loans when Paul Bristow was alive and Thea has continued to support the Club in a similar light. As far as I'm aware there is no pressure on the club to repay them until finances allow, for example when a player gets sold.
