My memory may be playing tricks, but wasn't Taylor's song a cringeworthy 'Ooh arr, it's Craig Taylor' a la Ambrosia?!Jeff wrote:i think only Craig Taylor didn't have his own song (although Brian McGlincheys and Arjan van Heusdens were effectively the same).
No doubt we'll end up singing that on Friday even if he isnt in the squadAwayday wrote:We have a song for all 11 players and the subs....
And number 1 is Chris McPhee
And number 2 is Chris Mcphee.....
The "Kumbayah" song is reserved for Joe Oastler I believe, and he acknowledges it too (which is more than can be said for Saah and "Saah, Saah will tear you apart again")Chris B wrote: My memory may be playing tricks, but wasn't Taylor's song a cringeworthy 'Ooh arr, it's Craig Taylor' a la Ambrosia?!
One of the great mysteries of the season for me is why 'Kumbayah' - used for Steve Woods and Guy Branston - hasn't been for Brian Saah. Not only is he a fellow CB, his name also rhymes perfectly with the song in question!
For Atieno, how about this to the tune of 'What shall we do with the Drunken Sailor?'
Tai-wo At-i-eno, Tai-wo At-i-eno, Tai-wo At-i-eno, Tai-wo At-i-eno
He's our Kenyan international, he's our Kenyan international, he's our Kenyan international, Tai-wo At-i-eno.
I agree that a cursory song for each player is a good thing, even if it's just 'there's only one [insert name]'. Someone must surely have an idea for LRT...
Saah clapped before the game on Saturday so I think he realises now...Jeff wrote: The "Kumbayah" song is reserved for Joe Oastler I believe, and he acknowledges it too (which is more than can be said for Saah and "Saah, Saah will tear you apart again")
I've always thought a good song for Tai would be to the tune of "Let's all do the conga", like Nigel Reo-Coker used to get......
"doo doo doo, Taiwo At-i-eno"
I have heard Chris McPhee referred to as a number 2 on occasion, yes.Awayday wrote:And number 2 is Chris Mcphee.....

I think most of the players have got a song TBH.austrianandygull wrote:It is making me very upset that not every player gets this recognition in terms of a chant or song
