It seems very little so why, despite possible budget restrictions, did he recruit so many of them ?

Because Bristows put a shedload of their own money into TUFC unlike the majority of other people near this club and Mrs B was taken advantage of (my understanding) by people around the club at the time. They acted with utmost integrity.somersetgull wrote: 15 Oct 2022, 15:35 So what recruitment is needed next year to keep us in national south??
Maybe the same but a coach capable at that level??
Why don't the Bristows get more rants for killing the club?

Thanks for that , yes I can imagine it was tough to watch. Hard enough listening to it on the radio, an absolute embarrassment. The most important game of the season allegedly against a team from the league below and still we cannot muster a victory we all crave for .Taelee73 wrote: 15 Oct 2022, 16:25 1200 or there abouts. 60 odd away fans. Difficult watch that one.

Embarressing performance for the majority of the game
The bench sums it up - 4 subs with nothing to change the game bar Da Silva
yes he lost the ball a few times but he was positive, ran at players with the ball and crossed it. Great assist for 2-2 and should have scored a few minutes later - he has to start in the replay
too many poor performances today -
Crowe - dreadful and lucky to not be sent off
Halls - legs arent there and couldnt pass today
Lapslie - did nothing, ran into stupid areas all game
Donellan provided some composure at the back today but still playing 5 at the back when 0-2 at home to a team in the division below is madness

Today just continues to confirm ho bad we are. Outplayed for most of the game by the lower league side. We need a change NOW!
When is the replay?

Well that was a very hard watch. We were very poor in so many ways for Full Time Professionals. What really gets me is we make the same mistakes over and over again.
I have said it until I am blue in the face but we waste virtually every free kick and corner because we have Zero imagination. Perhaps Gary should insist the players watch Premier League dead ball kicks and learn because we are clueless in this respect. Every time Crowe hit a free kick into the penalty box neither Jarvis or Goodwin got near it. Soft high balls are a gift for defenders.
In the 70th minute Hampton & Richmond had a corner on the left and we went to sleep. Not a United player within 30 yards of the corner taker. Result a pass to an unmarked player Vincent who luckily for us shot over the bar from just outside the box.
Passing is poor. I lost count of the number of really poor passes which were inaccurate. On a 15 yard pass you have to be accurate it is basic!
Jarvis and Goodwin were utterly wasted. No service. What more can I say.
The positives. Well there were some. The players did not give up and McGavin scored a very good goal with a beautiful strike and De Silva put in a lovely cross and all credit to Sean Donnellan for getting on the end of it to equalise with a timely header.
Chin Okoli cleared off the line in added time and looked very committed.
If we cannot fill the bench because of injuries why don't we recall Moyse who looked good in pre season?
We now have 5 games in 17 days assuming the replay i on Tuesday 18th October.
Remember that however you feel 8 National League teams lost today including Notts County at Home and Bromley at Home 1st and 5th out.
5 of the defeats were to lower league teams.
