Hamas sets humanitarian conditions for a ceasefire: "We cannot talk about a humanitarian solution while there is a blockade
(imposed in 2007) on Gaza, where we do not have medicine, essential needs, and reconstruction materials entering Gaza. You cannot put Palestinians in a jail and tell them to live quietly."

Travel companies are forcing parents to pay a premium by charging MORE for children than they do for adults. For example, a Thomas Cook holiday is being sold as £245 per person (including all extras for the school holidays), but the holiday is based on four adults sharing. But if you book two adults and two kids, for the same flights, same hotel, same everything, the price goes up to £344 each.

As you know I do not share many of your views but I have had a quick look at this and I am struggling to understand how this has not been national news? This should be all over the red tops (they love things like this??) but not a mention anywhere. Has Caroline Nokes not just received a promotion??
Does make you wonder a little I must say.............

Met Office Warning Issued For Torbay - Updated 10.37 7 August 2012
Yellow alert of rain from: 0015 on Sun 10 AugustTo: 2345 on Sun 10 August
There's a risk of severe weather during Sunday as a depression tracks over, or close to, the UK. At this stage there is more than average uncertainty in the forecast, but the public should be aware of the risk of heavy rain, strong winds and large waves, sufficient to disrupt transport and make outdoor activities dangerous.
This is a particularly volatile situation, and this warning is likely to be changed as the event approaches.

With Michelle Obama fronting the #bringbackourgirls campaign, and the Western media's big organisations being quick off the mark to publicise any new kidnappings by Boko Haram, then this could well be news you will have heard. A fact given far less prominence, and which would help explain to anyone interested in knowing some of the origins behind the spate of kidnappings in Nigeria, can found by clicking the link at the bottom of the page that Gullscorer has drawn our attention to.
There you will read: They almost got him in September 2012 when they raided his home, where he had snuck in for his six-day-old baby's naming ceremony, according to the International Crisis Group. He managed to get away with a gunshot wound to the leg; his wife and three children were taken by the military.
Yes that's right, back in 2012 the Nigerian military raided the home of Abubakar Shekau and kidnapped his wife and 3 children. It seems that in retaliation he's played the regime at their own game and has proved to be rather good at it.
A sorry state of affairs with plenty of fault on both sides, but also a reminder that if you live in a glass house, it's sometimes wise to think twice before you start throwing stones.

Seems to be like that across much of Africa. But the most shameful thing is, when those girls were kidnapped there was rightly a huge outcry and the 'bring back our girls' campaign began, but when a much greater number of boys was killed and kidnapped, both before and after, the world was silent.
