Still not convinced by the "pay on the day" message so I think I'm going to have to get down to Torquay tomorrow to pick up a couple of tickets to avoid anger on Saturday.
TUFC never fails to let its fanbase down.

27/08/18 - Time to step back from this shambles and focus on things in life that make me happy. TUFC doesn't.

Leadbitter isn't in the team for the same reason as the likes of Mcphee.Atieno,Macklin.Halpin ie none of them are up to the job.

Again your basing this on nothing. Leadbitter hasnt played because Oastler is doing well at RB at the minite nothing to do with ability. But then again your a moron at the best of times.
austrianandygull wrote: Fair points AlexGulls but i wasn't really judging him saying he is no good, like you say, we haven't seen enough of him to make a judgment so on that basis given the limited amount of playing time and experience of league 2 football he has had this season, that may make him vulnerable, especially against the quality of players Sheff U have thats all. He may come in and play a blinder but IMO i would prefer it if he didn't start.
Wasnt aimed at you I agree with your points. But I'm not sure how people can judge him when he hasnt had any game time (apart from the reserves) he may turn out to be a very good RB or he could turn out to be crap but untill he's had a few games we'll never know. I'd personally play Ellis in Lathropes place and put Aldred in the back four. I think Mansell and O'Kane need to be in there normal positions.

Yep fair enough AlexGulls.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Let's be honest, I'm not exactly expecting the Theory of Relativity.

We are assuming that brucie can even name a starting 11 that doesn't look something like this...

I believe that was our team of 2005, except with Kevin Hill on the left wing :)

I wasn't feeling overly confident for this game, expecting the Blades to do similar to last round and stroll to a 3-0, but if you look at the stats, our recent form and sucessful setup I think there is cause for optimism. I think the key will be keeping it tight first half, frustrate them, and sneak one on the break at some point. We don't concede a lot away and Rene can hold it up well to bring in Bodin and O'Kane who are on fire at the minute, so if we play the right way we've got every chance.

As for who to replace Lathrope, Oastler seems the sensible choice to me, in which case I'd move Robbo to right back (adding his long throws to our weaponry) and new boy in the middle (if he's match fit and up to it).

Just spoken to Sheffield United Ticket Office - you can pay on the day (Hoorah) - Cash only - you need to look for Exit N on Bramall Lane, suggest turning up early
to show Torquay's support in the planned tributes to Gary Speed R.I.P.

OS says it will be a midfield three of Mansell, Morris and Eunan.

Happy with that but i'd like to see Morris put himself about a bit more in order to help Eunan get forward. I know he has been out injured and his fitness may not be 100% though so its still gonna be tough for him and the rest of the lads.

Not the right call for me. That suggests that Manse's attacking instincts will be curbed a little which is a shame. And Morris has yet to impress, surprised he'd keep his place as he was average at best against Vale.

If it was me making the decisions, I would have shifted Robbo to Right Back, brought Aldred in at Centre Half and played Oastler as the holding midfielder. My reason being that gives us the chance to see how players play in different roles in the same system. We are not expected to win, so why not try something a bit experimental? But hey ho, we've gone for keeping the back 4 the same (I assume) and that has its obvious merits too.

Still really looking forward to it!

It is best not to tinker with the back four i feel as they are getting settled now after being without Saah for a good few games now. If we are looking solid at the back then why change it? Attacking wise i feel we may struggle to create chances so any set pieces we might get need special attention so that we make the most of them.
