Torquay fall to 16th, Plymouth lose again, fall into the relegation zone , City win away again and climb into 5th, 8 points clear of us having played 2 games more, really not looking forward to the derby.....
More worrying is Argyle are only 9 points behind us in 23rd. Need to hit some form to get back on track.
Accrington v Dagenham was watched by a massive 1,031 fans, I know our attendances aren't great but that's piss poor for League 2.
Hardly time to worry just yet we have 3 games in hand over argyle !! If we was to win the we would be 18 points in front of them and near the play offs
We might have three games in hand but when was the last time we won 3 on the trot. On current form, 4 points is a more realistic target but 2 points a more likely outcome leaving us around 11 pts clear of relegation, the same distance Macclesfield had between themselves and the bottom two, this time last year and look what happened to them. We shouldn't go down but could we be the team that unexpectedly drops like a stone. Let's face it, we don't have goals in us and whereas last year we were winning narrowly, it is more likely to be the opposite this year.
I disagree but neither of us have a crystal ball and that's why football is all about opinions. I'm going to look on the positives. Yes we have had a big of a poor run but with Brian Saah coming back that should steady us at the back and also with all the lads coming back from long injurys it should give the squad a lift.
Haha, I do like a joke where I can respect both the original gag and the (somewhat over-serious) retort.
Regards relegation, I think that, even at our worst (which, for the majority of this season and certainly recently, we have been) we are still quite a long way ahead of the real rubbish. It might not so much be us getting many more points which will see us safe, so much as the teams behind us not managing to accrue the points to overhaul us.
Don't agree Matt. We have really struggled against the poorer teams in the division (Wimbledon being the latest) and could easily be sucked down into a relegation battle if we are not careful.
We won't go down, 7/8 points difference + a few games in hand is it? We'll pick up at least a point or two in those games because this league is wretched. We should be bottom 2 or 3 with the 'resources' we have this season, i suppose it's a credit to Martin Ling that we aren't. i don't see what the point of having a go at him achieves, Ling's a bit of a div but seriously you can't polish a turd and we are a steaming 10ft high one. There's nothing more he can get out of this group. I'm not a massive fan of Ling if truth be told simply because I don't enjoy the style of play we enforce but ultimately he's done pretty well with what he's got.
we need a massive clear out in the summer, a cup run next year and some funds depserately.

You are right Gloster; of course we could get worse. If all 3 of the recent late goals conceded had been opposition winners, squad morale and confidence would be seeping away at a quicker rate than they surely already are. Losing becomes a habit and players' heads will drop as soon as the other team takes the lead. Before you can say Macclesfield, you are on course for the bottom two.
I don't believe that will happen, but it isn't impossible.
