YOUTH TEAM

Post by supergulls »

Well after a truly terrible day in terms of our result and my football bet going down the toilet the only positive was the youngsters had a great 3-1 win @ plainmoor this morning with goals coming from jack may and a brace from Danny Sullivan.

A great win indeed for the young gulls, this Danny Sullivan's name often appears amongst the goal scorers what are your thoughts supergulls, is he a second year trainee in which he most be getting close to the big decision time as to whether he moves into the first team squad.

Danny is a threat in front of goal, he has a good turn of pace and always puts in a good shift. His work rate is superb,he is the best 2nd year without doubt followed by nardiello. I'm pretty sure they get told around march whether they are to progress to the first team. There are a couple of very good first years too.

Three really well taken goals from the youth team. Jack May's goal was from along way out. The goalkeeper is the player who really stood out. He is so confident, very vocal and did everything required of him in superb manner. It was a joy to watch the youth team passing the ball so well and they fully deserved their win.

Goodluckgull ..Yeah Connor is very confident and vocal I would like him to be another inch or two taller but he does look ok. Do you think maybe he could have shown a stronger hand and kept their goal out ? What do you think of the center back Hutchings.

Connor looked disappointed for not saving their goal so I guess he believed he could have done better. He still has a few more years of growing. Is the center back you mean called Neil ? If it is I think he is very commanding and talented.
