I wasn't suggesting he never scores but look at his record, 27 goals in 206 league appearances is not good!kingsgull wrote:just trying to think who scored the 2 goals against Yeovil in the JPT....its coming to me .......
Ryan Jarvis
Nonsense Phil, I am with kingsgull.
How can anyone criticise Heskey's goal-scoring record either? He got one in the 5-1 win in Munich...

On the evidence of Saturday v. Oxford, he's got a long way to go. he's terribly slow over the first three yards and hence is beaten to the ball every time!
Fate: A police dog called Bryn bit Torquay player Jim McNichol and the time while he was receiving treatment was added onto the end of the second half.

IMHO the bloke is a poacher in the box and that is all you are going to get. So i'd question Lings decision to bring him to Plainmoor when we hardly ever chuck balls into the box. Like i've said the two goals i saw him score for us at home v vale and at hereford last season were poachers goals and we should be using thompson to sling balls in for him. No service to Jarvis and you may as well play with 10 men, no disrespect to Jarvis but that's all he is. Again, a strength in a player that is being blatantly wasted by misuse from Lingy. I happen to think Jarvis would get goals in a team like Chesterfield for example who throw balls into the area all day long.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
