2006/7 M K Dons finished 4th on 84 points..That is the most points in that position in the last 10 years !
The year hereford went up they were 3rd with 88points which is the highest 3rd place points total, but 4th place were Stockport with 82 so I guess the poster above is right with MK DonsGulldenBoy wrote:Out of interest does anyone know what the most points for not going up Automatic is?
Got a feeling either us or Crawley would break the record.

seems morale is higher at Crawley since the fat man has gone!
doesn't bode well for dropping points in their last few games

Just had a converstion with a Shrews supporter. Apparently, the feeling is that they always muck up their run in. Their fear is a draw with Vale tonight and a loss on Saturday...Stop thinking that they are up !!

We want them to draw and lose, but they have been a bloody strong side all season and they might have gone up last season if it wasn't for us getting their way. I think we need to worry more about Creepy than Shrewsbury to be honest.

We need to concentrate on winning our games firstly. IF Crawley win tonight they go above us on goal differance (which is 6 Better than ours I think) so all we have to do is is score seven times more than they do before the end of the season.
Or hope some one beats them 7-0 and we score more for the rest of the season.

Given our remaining fixtures, it could well be that we could catch up that goal difference. Wombles shipped 4 at our place, and Hereford are simply dreadful, as borne out by their league position.

Wouldn't like to leave it down to goal difference, our side simply doesn't score enough. Even aganist some of the lower sides we've been taking the 3 points with a one goal advantage. I wouldn't change that, it's just, with our system, we're unlikely to completely roll over teams and smash 4 or 5 past them. If we go up, it'll be on points.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...

Matt - don't Crawley have Hereford also? I think they have them at their place so benefits them more than us. Wombles also played well enough to get a point at Crawley so can't be that bad!! (albeit against 10 men)!

Richins, what are you doing....??? You are not meant to pick holes in Matt's thought process, you really will make him angry and he might swear at you online. Do you not know the Torquayfans.com rules?

We got all three points against 11 at Crawley. Yes, so they do, hadn't seen that, still a good opportunity for us to get a hatful, regardless of what Cheaty do.Richinns wrote:

Our system doesn't allow us to score hatfuls, hence why our goal difference is much lower than the others.diamondgirl wrote: We got all three points against 11 at Crawley. Yes, so they do, hadn't seen that, still a good opportunity for us to get a hatful, regardless of what Cheaty do.
