AGENTS FEES
The FA have published the amount of money clubs have spent for the period 1/2/2022 to 31/1/2023 in intermediary fees(agents to you and me). As you would expect Wrexham were top at 163K and we somehow managed to fork out 16.5K, who to and why, I thought the majority of our signings were out of contract so are we paying agents to convince players to come to us.

agents are due a fee even if the player is out of contract. It's usually a percentage of the contract value (including signing-on fee, if there are any) so it'd make sense that Wrexham are way out in front.
Sadly agent's fees are just a part of the business side, even though I've always felt that as they are effectively employed by the player, it should be the player that pays them.

A bit more digging showed we paid agents fees for omar, lapslie, jarvis, crowe, marshall, tomlinson, donnellan, wyatt, isegun, ellis and 2 lots for hanson. As for the agents, if their player is out of contract and cannot find a club and we give them a home for a year or two, what do they get paid for, updating the players sat nav so he can find us, packing his suitcase.the PFA will negotiate on behalf of a player and prospective club for nothing. To my my mind they are an evil the pro game can do without, certainly in the lower leagues when revenue is tight.

I don't disagree, but as a club it'd be very hard to refuse to pay any of them when there are another 115 clubs (at least) in England alone who will pay them. It need FA intervention, but that doesn't seem likely.
where did you get the info on which players we paid agents fees for?

The FA reporting, national league system period 1/2/2022 to 31/1/2023, then you dig down a little and find each club, its a pdf document so a bit long.
