New Signing - Frank Nouble
Can’t quite understand the excitement over this signing.
Is he match fit? Unlikely
Has he been playing and scoring regularly? No
Has he ever been a prolific scorer? No
Nevertheless I hope he shines for us and I wish him all the best when he pulls on a yellow shirt.

Not prolific but has actually played consistently at a higher level - he’ll be an improvement on what we have.
I tend to agree with this. The only thing so would say is he has always played at a higher level than this so he may have that hit of quality we need. We need a miracle and I don’t see it coming from anyone else.DB57 wrote: 24 Mar 2023, 21:09 Can’t quite understand the excitement over this signing.

Will he start up front with Jarvis today. Maybe two target men with Evans or Collins behind? Jarvis was carrying an injury, and going to Yeovil!

Nouble looked a class above everyone else. He looked like what he is, an experienced footballer.
We should have started with him and Jarvis up front then taken him off if he couldn’t manage a full game.

I guess the thinking was to bring him on later, when even though not match fit, he's fresher than the those around him. And that that would help him be a class above. Had he started, he may not have been as effective.standupsitdown wrote: 25 Mar 2023, 19:50 Nouble looked a class above everyone else. He looked like what he is, an experienced footballer.

We'll never know of course what the best way to have deployed deployed him, but the 0 points makes it look a bad decision.
