Hadn't seen it on the OS either, but this tweet from a Cardiff journalist says Crole's loan was cut short due to an ankle injury.

If this is true then I would hope we've been working on a couple of loans after Da Silva and Crole have returned to their clubs, I would hope for a central midfielder who can put the ball on the floor and manage the midfield and perhaps a Right Back so that Donnellan doesn't have to be used there
