Confident?
Southend have bigger injury problems than us, with 7 players expected to be out including former Gull Rhys Murphy.
Big reaction, Southend 0-3 United (Goodwin x2, Andrews)
203 Gulls

Love your optimism admiral! Hope to nick a win, but 0-3 is a reach.
Absolutely no confidence going into this one and expecting another defeat. Given GJ suggesting we are only missing laps there can’t be any excuses on that front.
I would like to see us have a change of approach today and be much more positive instead of sitting back waiting to concede. If we lose then so be it but at least let’s have a go. I can’t see GJ changing formation as he seems determined to stick with 3-5-2.
Southend 3-0 Torquay (184 away)

If Lapslie is the only injury it doesn’t mean those that have recovered from injury are match fit.
Maybe we’ll see the arrival of a loanee at 2:05pm
Just hoping for some clear improvement.

Just heard that Halstead travelled, but has since failed his fitness test. In Lovett we will trust

Hardly surprising, can not just throw away crutches and expect to play within days. Very best wishes to Lovett. Hoping for a performance and three points.rivieratouch wrote: 03 Sep 2022, 11:37 Just heard that Halstead travelled, but has since failed his fitness test. In Lovett we will trust![]()

Hanson puts us 1-0 up after four minutes. Only 86 mins plus added time to hold out.

Fantastic result for the boys....well done, chuffed for the Gaffer. Well pleased for Will Goodwin, a reward for all his hard work.
Hopefully a turning point.......Safe trip home Yellow Army
