Torquay United AFC is investigating reports relating to fan behaviour against Yeovil at Plainmoor on Boxing Day. Having become aware of incidents that marred our win over Yeovil Town, the Club has now begun launching a full investigation into the matter. The Club would like to stress that whilst the vast majority of supporters in attendance for this match were once again a credit to our Football Club, Torquay United AFC has a zero-tolerance policy regarding any behaviour of the nature being reported. Any so-called fans identified as partaking in these acts will never be welcome at Plainmoor, and the Club will be issuing any perpetrators with life bans from the stadium accordingly. Torquay United AFC prides itself on being a family-focused club at the heart of our local community, and we will not allow the mindless actions of a few to tarnish our proud reputation. Any supporters who witnessed these actions, or have any information regarding them, are asked to report them to the Club via [email protected], in order to further assist us with this investigation. No further comment will be made whilst the investigation is ongoing. #OneClub #OneCommunity The post Club Statement appeared first on Torquay United.

Sorry to hear that "a few" idiots saw fit to make comments about Yeovils' Captain, who sadly took his life earlier this year.
I hope we are able to identify those responsible and they are brought before the courts.
Personally, I did not hear any comments from around sixty yards away in the Family Stand but if I had, I would assist the Club in exposing those involved.

Am assuming these aren't regulars, just idiots that turn up for these kind of games. Wonder if they'd do the same at Yeovil Away?
Hopefully this won't lead to trouble at the away match.
Certainly a little worrying we haven't the capabity to throw them out of the ground on the day, hopefully the club with have some names soon.

I saw several Police Football officers at the ground, surely they could of summoned help if it was needed to detain offenders. It is amazing that is he stewards are not "up to it".
I hope that all involved are identified and dealt with appropriately.

Most stewards aren't trained or paid enough to start apprehending people. Most are just part time bodies in hi Vis jackets earning pocket money. The lead steward at the game might be an ex copper, and work full time, but don't expect them the be "up for it".
