Torquay v Barrow 26th October
Surprised that no-one has posted anything about this match yet. The weather is bloody awful here in Bude at the moment, howling gales and lashing rain (or is it howling rain and lashing winds??!!), no doubt similar in Torquay. I wonder whether the match will go ahead - it will certainly be a good test of the pitch's new drainage system!
Shouldn't be off this time of year , not as if the pitch has been battered with excessive matches on it. Drainage should cope with it or something is not right. Groundstaff will have to earn their money Sunday and Monday though to get it ready for Tuesday. Will be as tough a game as we have had , Barrow after 7 points out of the first 27 have now won 7 on the trot.Wouldn't be too upset with a draw if Bromley v Halifax also ends that way as long as we win Tuesday!
We need to be solid at the back so scott quigley doesn’t have a sniff at goal. Top scorer with 11.

This will be a test for the drainage. Rained much of yesterday, all night and forecast to continue until 3.00.
I don’t know if they cover the pitch.
Assuming it goes ahead It’s going to be very windy.

Accuweather have the wind dropping at 2pm
Wont be any need to water the pitch at least! Rain due to clear at kick off time and wind to drop so conditions could be ideal for slick passing football!!

This could still be a late postponement. No football will be played on the pitch iif on winds blowing the ball everywhere

I’ve never known a game called off for wind unless it affects the safety of fans.
We had a game about this time last season when wind was similar to this.

Does anyone seriously believe the game will be on? Given the last two days' weather and the fact that it's still hammering it down, forgive my scepticism.

Rain only very light now and most of it seems to be blowing away.
