Let's be honest, he was certainly looking shabby, scrawny & disheveled - reminiscent of the previous regime - & until club provides a replacement up to date costume I'd rather not see him .
Still digesting a chiuawa perhaps..

Was the chihuahua ever seen again? Maybe Gilbert just has a really bad case of food poisoning!

budegull1954. Do you live in Bude? Visited Bude on Tuesday for the first time. The town exceeded our expectations.
We had a very bizarre experience by the canal! Want to know more?

Hi portugull, yes I do live in Bude and you are almost guaranteed a bizarre experience several times a year here - so what happened, was Gilbert The Gull found floating face down in the canal??!!portugull wrote: 13 Sep 2019, 19:42 budegull1954. No nothing to do with Gilbert.
My wife and I were walking along the Canal and a lady jogger passed us by. 2 minutes later she started screaming loudly, waved her arms in the air and then jumped in the Canal!
She had been attacked by a nest of wasps. A man then appeared dressed head to foot in a Bee Keepers suit and helped her out the Canal.
He advised us not to proceed and return to town. We warned all other walkers to do the same.
Apparently another lady and her dog had been badly stung.
So we will have to return one day to finish our walk and return via the Cliff Top which I believe is spectacular on a nice day.
To add to the day my wife had a nasty fall in the street, no she was not drunk,so you could say budegull we will long remember our first visit to Bude.
