Play offs

Post by fred »

Not a subject anyone wants to talk about and I believe we will go up as champions but just in case, i don't want to book anything in while TUFC may be fighting it out in the dreaded play offs. Having done a bit of research today I think the format is.
Qualifying round
Match 1 5th place v 6th place
Match 2 4th place v 7th place
Semi finals
2nd place v match 1 winner
3rd place v match 2 winner
Final
Obviously winners of semi finals
The highest place team at the end of the season gets to play at home!!
So my understanding is if we do finish 2nd we get possibly two home matches avoiding a possible away trip to a place like Welling. As I said earlier totally think we will win the league and this is just hypothetical !

Appreciate your efforts for a post but total concentration on each game , one at a time and the rest will take care of itself.

Somehow for me promotion by playoff just won't feel as good as ok normally. Playoffs are no certainty either though clearly home ties should be a advantage

I think the thought of playing in the playoffs at the moment would be seen as a disappointment. The semi final playoff will be Sunday 5th May and the final Sunday 12th May. Kickoff tba.

Please can we be grammatically correct and insert the missing hyphen...
It's:
