While over the years there have been some outstanding goalkeeping displays at Plainmoor, there have been some shockers too. The Dulwich Hamlet 'keeper's performance on Saturday must rank very high on the list of inept performances - just take a look at our fifth goal!
(Incidentally, website master, when's my next promotion?)

Yes, he was dodgy as the chant goes.
On the other hand, I still remember the performance by a one time Boston keeper, Paul Bastock, who single handedly kept us at bay despite having a tennis ball shaped swelling on the side of his head. This was caused by one particular save when he collided heavily with a goalpost with a sickening thud (I was right behind that goal). It took quite a while for him to recover but he did and he carried on to the end (if it had been in a rugby match he would have had to go off for a 'HIA').
He earned my respect that day.
He went on to break a world record held by Peter Shilton for the most appearances by a goalkeeper.
