Could the answer to TUFC's recent poor performances be easily solved with a little behind the scenes tweaking and re-deployment?
There has been much speculation recently that Gary Owers has lost the dressing room. If, indeed, Mr Owers cannot locate the team's pre match base, this may go some way to explaining the disjointed performances on the pitch. We haven't heard that Gary has 'lost the training ground', so must assume that all is well during the week. Come Saturday though he must have so much on his mind, that on arrival at Plainmoor the poor man is disorientated and the whereabouts of the dressing room slips his mind. Meanwhile the players are all in the appointed place awaiting the manager's words of wisdom. Some may have taken the view that if 'he can't even bother to be here, why should I try on the pitch'....which could explain the apparent lack of effort by one or two of them.
Perhaps the solution lies with the admin staff. Put up some clear signs saying 'This Way To The Dressing Room'. Delegate someone to meet Mr Owers on a Saturday and make sure he gets there...perhaps a job for 'Gilbert'.
I'll be on the Pop Side as usual hoping that we see a win....hoping Gary has made it to work on time.
