Ryan Higgins - absent
Yes we all know he's absent on compassionate leave but we need to know if he's ever returning. Either tell us he's not coming back or he'll be back soon. The club officially hasn't said anything.

When do they ever, unless it's a badge change or a newly designed website.................

The reason for Compassionate leave is rightly confidential, and its nature also is likely to preclude giving clues about when someone is able to return.
Sadly forced to retire due to a heart condition

Yes, all the very best for the future Ryan - we will never see those long throws again I guess. Just another sad chapter in the slow-motion car crash that is Torquay United's season.

Good luck to the lad. The brightside is it's been diagnosed and hopefully will have a decent future away from playing football. Young lad still and can still find a decent path in life.
A good player who had loads of potential. I hope he now finds a new career and he we always be welcome back at Plainmoor.

Very sad news.
I really enjoyed watching Ryan. Coming on top of the news about Damon Lathrope it just shows that in football just as in life generally you never know what is just around the corner.

I do so feel for the young man. this is going to change his life immeasurably and life will never be the same again for him. I'm only glad it was found before he had anything actualy happen. gee our luck is not with us this season is it. 2 players having to retire due to health reasons. how many teams suffer that. Damon too. feeling for both families.
Always Look on the bright side of life
