Have to ask what the f is going on.
I know lawyers are expensive but it's always prudent to ask for a little advice before kicking people out the door.

Won't be any of them. Hargreaves and Hodges are both on gardening leave so still being paid and the article refers to people who have recently been let go.

Gardening leave and full wages, I think not?

They are both under contract so I'm fairly sure that they are being paid what's stated in their contracts. As others have already posted, it would have been very naive of the new Board members if they hadn't taken legal advice before dismissing people. I'm sure they wouldn't have fallen into that trap.

Can any of you see Thea putting her hands in her pockets again if the club have no where else to turn, considering she still holds a stake in the club?..

If we lose an unfair dismissal case then it is only our fault. It's all very well saying you have tough decisions to make, but unless it's done in the right manner then it's not actually a saving. A few months later and we'll end up paying more, have lost their labour and damaged the image of the club. If you're getting rid of staff then you have to make sure it's done properly, or else you have to expect to face the consequences.

Thank You to Bill Phillips for at least one of these. Ask Cedric from the Gulls Lodge who was pushed out (By Bill), set up 3 meetings with Bill to try and work this out before it got to court. Bill no showed all 3 meetings, even though he promised he would show. Cedric won an unfair dismissal case against the club and a compensation. So thank you to Mr. Bill Phillips to this one.

How many more are your fault?

Ah - now we're getting to the nitty gritty. We've assumed these are dismissals made by the the new Board but it could well be dismissals made by the incompetent previous regime where professional advice was not asked for. That does not surprise me but it is very worrying. VERY worrying indeed ......... :@

Please forget this idea until we have some sort of stability in the club. Lots of effort and money for very little reward!

Surely, the incoming board would have taken quality legal advice and taken indemnities from the outgoing board for any claims made after their departure that related to their tenure.........please !!!!
