Toby Ajala
Toby is not playing as he has not been offered a contract despite trialling at 3 or 4 clubs.
I would like to see him back at Plainmoor.
Yes or No??
Would welcome fans views but I get the feeling he just might be back soon.

Yep, I would like to see him back. Bit of pace, running at defenders and crosses into the penalty area and not into the area between penalty area and corner flag.
I would be happy to see him back but I'm not sure where. I think most would agree that the best things about our team at the moment is the wing-backs...
Toby Ajala the player of course I'd love to see him back however, however Toby Ajala the complete package no chance, never. Toby Ajala was telling anyone who'd listen well before the end of last season he had intention of staying at the club, a friend of mine, who happens to be a friend of Toby Ajala showed me a message Toby had sent him, basically saying I'm off.
Toby Ajala for want of a better expression basically stuck two fingers up at our club, though he was bigger than TUFC, he's made his bed, no matter what we're going through let him lie in it.

As forever has said above and he also does not really fit into the current formation.

As said above I would love to see Toby back here but he would not fit in with cox's favourite 3-5-2 formation, just look at Murombedzi who looked lively coming on as a sub against Cheltenham can't even break into the first team just yet due to the same problem with the formation used. It will be interesting just to see who is there at the behind closed doors friendly, believed to be Brentford. I on a personal level hope Toby is one of them..

Well it isn't going to happen but dropping Exodus and playing with a back four with Murambadzie and Ajala on the wings would give us an infinitely stronger team in my opinion.

Ajala tracked back more than any winger I've seen play for us this season, welcome him back I say.
Yes but we are not playing wingers so irrelevant unless he can play as a wingback.RussianGull wrote:Ajala tracked back more than any winger I've seen play for us this season, welcome him back I say.
I want players who want to play for the badge - not ones who cannot find owt better!

Well yes and no. At the moment the long throws of Exodus have led to us scoring goals directly from those throws ins, and despite every team knowing there coming, those long throws are still one of our main goal threats as no team can defend against them for 90 minutes.brucie wrote:Well it isn't going to happen but dropping Exodus and playing with a back four with Murambadzie and Ajala on the wings would give us an infinitely stronger team in my opinion.
Until our squad has a more strength in depth, I'd leave Exodus in there.

Agree with the sentiment in the post by Richinns. Remembering that he wanted to leave, we now have to ask ourselves if Ajala came what sort of player for TUFC would he be, I think the reason why Ajala has not found another club, may be more down to his personal demands being to high, rather than a lack of talent.
Ajala would arrive back here with his tale stuck firmly between his legs, would we get the level of performance, maybe, maybe not, would he be as committed to the our cause, highly doubt it. Should he play at the same level, would Ajala come the end of the season be champing at the bit, to take the first contract offer with more £££ than TUFC can offer, almost 100% certainly, he would.
Please forget him, not worth it at any price.

I can just about remember seeing wingers Ernie Pym and Larry Baxter in my first ever attendances at Plainmoor in the early to mid sixties, and ever since then I have always been doubtful of teams which do not play wingers..

We could do with you a gullscorer. I played against Ernie Pym 1964 against Torquay.Gullscorer wrote:I can just about remember seeing wingers Ernie Pym and Larry Baxter in my first ever attendances at Plainmoor in the early to mid sixties, and ever since then I have always been doubtful of teams which do not play wingers..
