If they'd listened to me last 24th September when I suggested just giving him to Peterborough, we'd currently be receiving our sell on fee as he's sold on to a Premiership side.

So how much did we get for Bobby Olejnik from Peterborough? We all know how good Bobby was/is, but things didn't seem to turn out so well for him there in the end, and he eventually moved on a free transfer to Exeter City, who got themselves a bargain.

Ives might be better advised to move to Bristol City, or even follow Bobby to Exeter, who seem to have a knack for timely selling of players for big money (the last one being Matt Grimes to Swansea in January for £1.75 million).

Fair play to the lad, that's three big jumps up the ladder - really hope he does well, at the very least to maximise TUFCs income from the deal.

I don't think you could begrudge him a move to a Championship club - especially one with a good record of developing young players.

Good luck Levi, hopefully you'll do well and net us a little sell on fee in the future.

Good luck to the lad indeed, should imagine they've signed him as a development player, and the better he does the more money likely to come our way, however, I feel it just might be the last we hear of him, sadly.

He's done well to get a move to the Championship, not that I expect him to feature anywhere near their first team for the foreseeable future. He's clearly got ability but his lack of pace and height will work against him. Good luck to the lad but I do think he thinks he's better than he is. Time will tell. I think we'll be stronger in that position next season with Butler on board.

Not too upset about him going. PC must have had an idea, because Butler came in two weeks ago now.

Same for Bowman, would have preferred to keep them both, but if they don't want to be here then cheerio.

The club will receive £10,000 for every 10 appearances made by Levi Ives – up to £30,000 – and there is a 30% add-on fee written into his deal

I wonder if this agreement is timebound?

£10k per 10 appearances but over how many years? I'd be surprised to see him rack up 10 appearances in the next 3 years unless he has a dramatic turn of form. Greg Cunningham and Joe Bryan are the regular full backs and he's not at their level.

I fear we'll end up getting very little from this.

If he never plays for them, will we get anything at all?
