Thank you forevertufc. I have read a fair bit of the Guide on Sportsgrounds but cannot find a clear guide to the number of Stewards required.

Could Andrew Candy enlighten us?

To be fair I do not actually know what the formula for working out the number of required stewards is, I should imagine 1 steward per x number of anticipated attendance , plus added factors, like number of away fans, and whether they pose a security risk or not.

Whilst however the club does have to abide by these rules, there's no getting away from that, one thing I will say, there does seem to be some inconsistency between individual S.A.G 's , it does seem unfair that our club was forced into a position where by we had 5 all ticket games last season, yet up the road they had none, and this seasons Plymouth / Exeter game even kicked-off at 3pm and a Saturday. So is our S.A.G some what over playing risk.

ferrarilover wrote:That isn't a Hillsborough jibe, it's a Liverpool one. I know it's not your thing, but have a look on Twitter any time a celebrity dies. All you'll see is bloody Scousers Tweeting sh*t like, "Robin Williams,in heaven with the angles and the 96 now. #YNWA #JFT96."

Everything with Liverpool is some excuse to yack on about how persecuted they are and how life isn't fair. They absolutely love being the victims, Hillsborough was an appalling tragedy which cost 96 people their lives and many others too in some way. What has happened since is scandalous, but it's time to let go and for the city of Liverpool and its inhabitants to move on and lose the victims tag. In part, they can do this by voting for a government which will give everyone the opportunity to achieve, rather than a government which seems hell bent on rewarding fecklessness and driving us all down to the speed of the slowest vessel.

I fear this has ceased to be about football...

More tarring of an entire race or people with the same brush. What government might that be anyway? Not this corrupt Tory shower, that;s for sure.

Good effort, but Scouse isn't a race. Nor is workshy, which also seems to fit.

Rather than endlessly trying to get me banned for not being a racist, why don't you just skip past my posts, as I frequently do with yours?

If you do not like being pulled up on your inflammatory posts, then don't make them. What makes you think I'm trying to get you banned? Nor do I endlessly point it out. I just point it out when you are being. Make a derogatory comment about an entire city's worth of people and expect to get pulled up about it. Don't bleat about it when someone does point it out to you.

It looks as if Matt has been confusing and conflating Liverpool with feminism.. ;-)

As for "stewards" of this forum, congratulations to dannyrv (previously dannyrv) on his elevation to redbigneck.

Of course, SG being the greatest REDBIGNECK of them all.

No one **** cares. It is what it is, it isn't going to change, let it go. If you won't let it go, I've told you how to find out, do it for yourself.

It's not inflammatory and you aren't 'pulling me up" on anything. I note you don't bother with anyone else.

Trouble is Andy Candy is only member of this forum who will know the figure your after. we've established the club is duty bound to have a minimum number of stewards on duty, so I would imagine that cost is fully budgeted for.

Also, even if Andy Candy made the annual cost of stewarding public on this forum, another problem to me is, that figure is going to be totally meaningless to us fans unless we have exact comparisons to clubs with similar attendances, size and configuration of ground and car parks, all factors in stewarding numbers required, with out that information us fans will have no way of knowing whether our spend on security is over, under or average compared to other clubs.
