Torquay United have the most expensive season ticket in the conference at £415 for a seat in the bench and even the terrace in the pop is more expensive than many clubs best seats.

Bristol Rovers are a fiver behind for their best seats but are likely to be able to buy and to compete.

Barnet have some sort of weird membership deal going on which nearly puts them on a par with us but they have perks such as bar access and stuff chucked in.

Grimsby charge £378 tops for their best seats and £18 on a matchday.

Lincoln offer their fans a s/t in the best seats for £335 and you can pay in 10 monthly instalments, get discounts on club coach travel and they even let you exchange each voucher for any game you cannot get to for a fiver off next seasons s/t.

Wrexham weigh in at £329 for their best seats and chuck in the usual plus coach travel discounts and individual tickets bought in advance are £17.

Macc are up to £75 cheaper than us, Aldershot charge £361, Telford £315, Gateshead £300, Nuneaton £295, Southport were £276 early bird so £350 tops, Braintree £340, Dover £ 315, Altrincham £290, Woking £275, Hereford I can't find out but they were £300 last season, Halifax £319, Salisbury £210 early bird so below £300, Forest Green are at £340 and there you go.

The club's decision to freeze ticket prices doesn't sound like a great deal now after all. Although it's actually a good job they did comparing them to all the other clubs.

During the early bird we were one of the most expensive, our early bird often being more expensive than full price at most other clubs. Not sure why you feel so affronted about this information, I'm just putting it out there for others to see as they might be interested. A fair price for football reflective of the product on offer is something I feel strongly about and so long as people are happy to continue to pay more and get less then nothing can ever change. Like Matt said on another thread, "All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to stand back and do nothing".

did it ever?? to me it sounded like an insult, after a season of some of the worst football and relegation already nailed on, to announce a freeze was a very poor decision, fair enough if we had survived, but why couldnt there have been a clause (as there should be in all players contracts) that if relegated the price would be far cheaper

to see that we've now got the priciest tickets in non league football is crazy, who do we think we are, arsenal??

some of those deals are great, especially the ten month option, altho i realise that getting some money in "up front" is essential during the financial desert of close season

i think we're gonna be in a real pickle this season money wise and its finger in the wind how it goes on the pitch

two weeks tomor for the fixtures and a season of hope will begin to unfold!

Conference fixtures don't get released on same day as pl and fl. I think it's 2 weeks after that

Whether it's a good deal or not will depend upon how well the team does. If we maintain a good promotion challenge throughout the season and end up with promotion, then yes it will be a good deal. But not so if we finish in a mid-table position or worse; if that happens, the club had better drop their prices the following season, otherwise I can envisage a situation where they will have difficulty selling any tickets at all.

Even now, people do not like buying 'a pig in a poke'. While there may be cause for some optimism, our experiences of following the Gulls in recent years have made fans very cautious with their money, and rightly so, given also that the recent economic upturn is, for the great mass of ordinary people, completely non-existent.

The club are struggling enough, as it is. If they lower admission prices, then nobody will have to worry, because we wont have a team to support.

A nice saving for us, but to the club, with an attendance of 2,500, I'm sure you can all do the maths, is £125,000 per game! How long do you think TUFC would survive? All so that, each one of us who attends, can "save" £115 per season on admission.

Yes, of course we all want the best value for our money, but for any business to survive it has to make more money than it spends. £115 is a tidy sum, but your £115 equates to £287,500 in lost revenue, for TUFC (At 2,500 "gate") over a 23 home game season.

Some shocking maths in this thread, if I was in Devon I'd be a season ticket holder. It's not about price, it's about your team. So we got relegated? Who care's we'll go back sooner or later. You can't be hung up on price when it comes to what you love.
