why would we experiment? anyone would think we were trying to win the game with a team like that? playing players where they play best? no no no that's not the Torquay way!

but on a serious note that is a good lineup, however I don't think we'll see bodin play upfront!

I hate to appear to be slagging off a particular player, but why all this affection for selecting BB for every game despite his record ? - yes he has potential but how many goals has he scored this season ? - 1.
He just cannot hit the target - he had the last kick to win the match against Burton, a free kick just outside the box, should have scored but didn't even make the keeper earn his money. He apparently had 3 chances in the last ten minutes at Southend, failed to make the keeper play again.
Alas he is consistently a frustrating luxury (last season also) so drop him - he doesn't score, he loses the ball too easily, he doesn't tackle/defend, and he provides very few assists (if only he got into the area to get chopped down for a penalty more often he might be worth a place). We need to play as a team with 11 men not 10.

Billy has a lot of ability, the team seldom hold the ball up between (across)the 18yard box. Billy can hold the ball in the danger area and turn players create and get fouled. (Pens. when did we last get one) He should be more in the game and not fall asleep. I think you will find a few years ago this was his position untill he was moved into senior football. What I am looking at is the best team that Torquay can put out and I would try Billy in this position as I don't believe any manager has got the best out of him. Geof Harrop played him off the front central and he played very well all i'm saying try it again as it could work. All the other formulas have been tried, and I'm not saying Billy is the the top player. I am saying I think it's time this was tried and I would play Craig in the centre of midfield being more creative. :keepie:

Rice
O'Conner Pearce Downes Nicholson
Lathrope
Mansell Craig Cameron
Bodin
Stockley or Coulthirst

I would keep a back four as we've stoped letting goals in and Nicholson has played well but it would be easy to change during the game if it was needed.

Subs: Bodin/Cameron, Cargill, Keeper, Yeoman plus 3 others.

Has Goodwin got another game to go before he's back?
Did not know Cooper was fit it looks a good side. :keepie: :keepie:

He had a reasonable game but he missed two gilt edged chances before Morecambe's equaliser which would have wrapped up the three points for us.
