James Harper

It seems like Hargreaves is still talking to Harper so maybe we are going to sign him.

Some of the players might be advised to take ear plugs on the coach for Hartlepool should we sign him tomorrow

Have a listen to this - the bloke is seriously nuts!

Don't mind if he's as mad as a box of frogs as long as he's better than what we presently have.

I suppose at least nutters tend to be passionate about things. Add in a bit of ability and we're good to go.

His character reminds me of Bullard - a geezer. Could give us a spark by raising morale, and his pedigree suggests that he'd be plenty good enough to improve our side.

From what I can find out searching on't web. This guy is very much a Chris Hargreaves style man. He is chirpy. Not the sort to let his head down when things are tough and he will make the dressing room rock. this will lift moral and hopefully we will see a much improved team,

Needs to be deployed quick, if this is the case.

He might stir GILBERT out of his lethargy. By the way, I noticed a new GILBERT at the Accrington game. Very small in stature and only appeared at the far (i.e. grandstand) side. No improvement on the others. Bring back 'Bird's the Word' or, even better, OneCanLasher (Bruce Cann).

Despite him being a cockney I think we'd really get on, so long as he doesn't bang on some 'let's attack people and sexually assault women' based rap music when we're out. Seems a top bloke, doesn't put on a front or an phoney accent and babbles like there is no tomorrow to the point of often being incoherent. We need to go for a pint I reckon. I say let's get Harper in the side and see if he can add a spark that his personality seems to indicate he will.

COME ON JAMIE!!

Also as a response to yellows comment about 'nutters'. I don't want to keep turning threads into obsessions of Gullscorer-esque proportions (joke GS! :na: ) but I do want to add that not all eccentric or quirky people are tapped in the head. I'm sure Yellowforever knows this and it was an off the cuff remark which is fine. I just thought I'd defend nutters. :~D

Won't be signing for us, as he has failed to agree terms.
