At what point do you think that Thea will up and leave? I'm not that worried that we have no money as long as we're a Football League club however should we deteriorate and end up in non league with no cash then I can't see a way back. Last time we went down we were lucky in the fact that we had a complete shake up of the board and management staff and we managed to recruit players who had ambition for what was seen as a big club in the conference.
I'm worried that if we go down again then we won't be so lucky, I think Thea will have gone if it's obvious that we will go down, so where will the money come from? There are too many bigger clubs with bigger budgets in the league below and we won't be able to handle that in our current predicament financially.
It's no good about banging on with lack of people attending at Plainmoor, we've hovered around the 2200 mark at home for as long as I can remember and the efforts by the club to attract people to TUFC (as far a I can tell) isn't working. So what do we do? Find an investor? Try get a link with a bigger club that will bring new income and give said club first option to our youth players?
I want questions about our finances answered and I want to see plans for possible solutions.

Sorry for the half rant but every time I see the league table I feel the need to take some frustration out. Be it alcohol or though a keyboard haha

I for one sincerely hope Thea will not walk. But to some extent it can be in our hands. If we start to barrack the board then It will be the one thing that can make her walk. we need to support them as much as we can. Mb was though the messiah when he saved us from going out of business. But look how quickly the fans turned on him when things got bad. he was not prepared to put up with the personal abuse he and his family took. It was unwarranted and the fans let themselves down by their behavior.

It wouldn't be in Thea's best interests to walk away from the the club surely, the Bristow's have a lot of money invested in the club, you can't take blood from a stone, you can't take money out of a club that not only has no money, but no saleable assets, we don't own the ground or training ground, we have a squad worth £0, if she left where would the return on their money come from, the clubs telephones, computers and the dodgy fax machine wouldn't cover it.

The only way the Bristow's are likely to get any money back is hope we develop some young players and sale them on for good profit, I am pretty sure they will stay, the only thing they might do is refuse to put any more money, but again if the club was about to go into administration they would lose their money, I think, so maybe they would if money was needed.

Completely agree. There are some "fans" who think that paying their entrance fee to the ground gives them the right to hurl nasty abuse at whoever they like, often the manager and players and, sometimes, the Board. I like to think that sensible fans who see this behaviour will explain forcibly to these idiots that this behaviour is not acceptable at Plainmoor, I certainly will.

I have said on this forum before that there are some regular attenders at Plainmoor who have far more deep seated psychiatric disorders than most of us have (it is probably fairly mad to pay to see 22 men kick a ball around a field anyway, so we are all bonkers to a point). These psychiatric disorders make these idiots want to punish others for their own miserable lives, and going to Plainmoor is a form of therapy for them. Miserable old men most of them, sad cretins with pathetic lives.

If we go down we go and support the team, if we go bust we form another and support that. Either way Torquay isn't going anywhere Gaz so long as we have a small dedicated section of fans with breath in their bodies.

I can't really comment on the Thea situation as I'm pretty ignorant as regards this side of the club but what Dave forever said makes sense.
