Make an effort against Portsmouth

Post by arcadia »

As a club we've got to pull together on Saturday, we need everyone to make an effort remember it's all' ticket' try and be there wear yellow and get some atmosphere in our part of the ground to give the players a lift, they need our help. Don't let anyone run them down talk them up. Portsmouth will bring support lets compete with them don't let them take the ground
over.

Firstly it's never going to happen in a million years because most fans just aren't bothered about making a noise.

Secondly even if there was an increase in 'fan activity and participation' in this one come the next home game it will be dead again so what's the point.

Thirdly, things like this have been posted about a zillion times over resulting the grand sum of f*ck all.

Fourthly I still wish to say good on you for trying to get something going. I'm not being a killjoy just because i'm a nasty evil person but because it's hard enough trying to create anything tangible at most AWAY games never mind at home and it does make me feel sad when there are only ever about 20 max singing.

Sorry arcadia but you are flogging a dead horse as much as it pains me to say it.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

People will both come, and will make noise when results go the right way. Lets be honest, as the cold weather kicks in, and dire performances carry on, there isn't much appeal to come is there?

Exactly, great fans. No commitment to the team and no commitment to making a difference.

Turn up against Pompey then disappear for the next 10 games. Great.

Maybe a loud and vocal support at home to Accrington for example would show everyone what we're all about. As that isn't going to happen then we're about going to sleep. Maybe SCS should open a showroom at the far end of the pop so fans can have a nap in between the good bits of a game?

I know I sound a right miserable sod but this is the actual reality of the situation and there is nothing more I want than to have everyone bouncing every game. In fact I might bite the bullet and buy a small drum and take it to away games now.

Come on make the effort! Knilly's centre half and Brass is sure to shine alongside him. This game could be the turning point try and help. If everyone said bu--er it there would be no club. If they do well on Saturday we will have something to look forward to next week. Don't reply that you'll come if Knilly plays. :keepie: :keepie:

Or you can always settle for Knill v Ling on Youtube. Before anyone wastes 5 minutes, I'll warn them that the picture quality is awful and you see very little of either of them.

Anyone know if there will be a drum there?

Portsmouth will be making a HELL of a lot of noise, I went to the JPT game earlier on in the season and just a few hundred were very loud!

Join the club mate. Oh you have!

I'm nearly certain that I will be buying a drum to take to away games. I'm sick of crap atmospheres everywhere I go and so i'm thinking of taking the plunge and just doing it. Where is the best (and cheapest place to look for such a thing?).
