craig's time coming soon??
looks like AK may be preparing to use NC after ignoring him for the whole season so far if this article is anything to go by on the OS
http://www.torquayunited.com/news/artic ... 48949.aspx
if we do/have sign(ed) mozika, as has been suggested, how would NC fit into the side then, assuming manse will keep his place and mozika will oust harding?

still keeping the faith
May be Knill sees Mozika and Craig complementary midfielders which could put Manse under pressure?

Maybe Mozika and Craig? That would be a far superior attacking centre mid than we currently have, without taking away very much defensively.

I read it more as Craig's time out on loan coming soon.

I read it as Knill doing the exact thing I said he should do on another thread. He's bigging up the other players in the squad to keep the first team members on their toes. It is good to see that he recognises that we need an attacking player in the centre. If Craig can improve his tackling, then he will certainly be a very important player for us.
Good work Knill, I say.

I see it as AK saying random words to placate the fans unhappy at Craig's lack of game time.

There have been no discussions between Knill (or anyone else) and Craig. NC would be happy to go out on loan in order to improve his all round game. He is working hard on the elements of his game which are weak and he is aware of what needs doing.
I'm desperately hoping he gets his chance, not because in like the boy himself, but because I'm a Torquay fan and I want us to do as well as possible.
Matt.

I'd like to see Harding given a few more games to see if if any improvement comes but after that then give Craig or anybody a try! The thing about Harding that I cannot get my head round though is that he played in a really strong Northampton side last season and presumably was good enough for them yet I've only seen him play for us 3 times and I just cannot believe how bad he has been. Surely, surely there HAS to be lots more to come from Harding? I honestly can't say that I've written off a player as quickly as I am doing with Harding because his performances have been so appalling. Maybe I should have put this in the Ben Harding thread but i'd like to see Craig given a start if Ben's form continues for much longer.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I think we need to remember that, despite their relative success last year, Northampton were a pretty awful side who relied on smashing the ball as long and as high as they could in the (often fulfilled) hope that one of their giant forwards would get on the end of it. Their midfield was completely irrelevant, because they touched the ball so very rarely.

The Northampton fans were not too keen on actually having harding in there team, they said the would rather gutteridge too stay over harding. Also, Northampton didn't really need a midfield to rely on.AustrianAndyGull wrote:I'd like to see Harding given a few more games to see if if any improvement comes but after that then give Craig or anybody a try! It went Clark Carlisle ---> Clive Platt and gutteridge picked up the pieces whilst harding was still standing around doing his best footballer impression.........................

Don't worry about anything. After ten league games, Alan Knill will have sorted it all out and will put the best in-form players in the team. We'll have the right formation and tactics, climb unstoppably up the table and finish in the top three, just behind Exeter (spit) and Argyle (spit) at the end of the season..

Well if that's the case he has to drop Nico, Cameron, Harding and perhaps one of Hawley / Ball meaning wholesale changes. Why not do it now is my suggestion then by the time the 10th game comes the replacements will all be bedded in and up to speed. :~DGullscorer wrote:Don't worry about anything. Everyone's a winner!
