I'm sure Nick will be doing his fine articles for the main site each match day and for that I give thanks but i'm just posting this to inform you that I shall no longer be doing the usual match day threads which I know a lot of you despise. It is partly due to time issues and partly because most of you hate them so there you go. This leaves the threads free for anyone and everyone to do (as it was even when I was doing them) so please do go ahead and enjoy.
What I will be doing for our away games only is a short thread on our opponents but not anything about the playing side of things, again this will be covered by Nick, assuming Nick is up for continuing with his posts on the main site. No, these 'away' threads will solely be concentrating on the town in question, the ground, the facilities there and nearby and any other related quirky stories about the club all done with the usual bizarre and banal delivery. As well as that there will be a 'memory lane' feature where Gulls can put stories about visits to that particular ground in the past that you may want to share with us.
That's it really and I hope you can all get involved.

New season matchday threads
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
I don't know where you get the idea that most despised your matchday threads from Andy, you may have a small number who may not like your posting style in general and attacked your matchday threads, but hey, whoopie do for them.
I enjoyed your threads and got the impression a heck of alot more liked them than disliked them, shame you will not continue hard act to follow, maybe Nick will put his articles from the main on the forum.

Cheers Dave, I didn't mind people not liking them I just didn't like some of the nasty comments about them from some quarters which now I can learn to forget about but it's just put me off doing them as I don't get the same enjoyment if only a handful of people are liking them. Anyway as long as someone puts up a matchday thread just with the fixture details then we can still all use it to post about the game.
Anyway, i'm doing my new threads about the away games which should be interesting and weird!!!!!!!

Andy if you enjoyed doing them then you should continue with it. I've no idea if people read the main site (bix didn't even know it existed!!) but if it's something you enjoy writing then go for it. People have the choice not to read it if they don't want to..
Andy, carry on with your thread. They are extremely entertaining! People don't have to read them if they don't want to.
