.... bit of fun, with one or two in makeshift positions and having to ditch Ricey in order to name a keeper, who do we think would win this little battle!
Old XI
Rice;
Oastler, Saah, Leadbitter, Halpin;
Macklin, Easton, Morris, Stevens;
Howe, Jarvis;
sub: Baker
v
Current XI
Poke;
Cruise, McKenzie, Downes, Nicholson;
Thompson, Lathrope, Mansell, Craig;
Bodin, Yeoman,
sub: Hutchings, Sullivan;
I think the current team would certainly edge it in terms of defence/midfield .... but offensively I don't think so....
So which team would win ...

Lathrope to the bench, Craig in the middle, Sullivan up front with Yeoman and Bodin out wide left would probably fix the creativity/attacking problems. Obviously, Cruise isn't a RB, but I take your point about makeshift positions for some.
Team 2 looks alright, it won't win anything, but it's probably not one of the two worst teams in the division.

Team 2 certainly WOULD struggle to stay in the league. It is a lot weaker than than the one that just stayed up by the skin of its teeth.ferrarilover wrote:Lathrope to the bench, Craig in the middle, Sullivan up front with Yeoman and Bodin out wide left would probably fix the creativity/attacking problems. But it is minus the real cause of the problems which Team 1 suffered last year, so it's a push.
