Post from Mr Anonymous badly edited by some hack or another in an attempt to frame me for the crime. Devastated.
Anyone know the date of the Robertson trial?
Matt.

Talking of GILBERT (see Edd12uk above), we DO need a new one. I made some suggestions on the 'Ideas for Mr.Candy' threat but they were completely ignored.
How often do we see the mascots of other clubs perform marvellous feats of over-the-top enthusiasm when the home team scores? Yet where has GILBERT been recently? I suggested (in all seriousness) to Mr. Candy that he employ a professional comedian to do the job. Why not? It wouldn't cost much, and it would certainly raise the morale of the crowd (and goodness me, it needs raising). The putative GILBERT would know plenty of the tricks of the trade, and, performing for the whole 90 minutes PLUS (rather than the ten minutes of feebleness -when not AWOL - from the present incumbent)would enhance the credibility of the club, provide entertainment for us all, especially the young 'uns, and show that we can be in the Premier Division of mascots. Incidentally, has GILBERT ever entered the mascots' Grand National? I doubt it.
So, come on Mr. Candy. think outside the box for a moment, and give us a new and competent GILBERT. After all, we all love him don't we?

What is it with you and the bird? I must ask - is it more than what would be judged as 'acceptable'?

Since you love him so much, why aren't you volunteering?

I'd like to see him used in a more naughty way, although nothing sexual, I promise!
Perhaps standing awkwardly close to opposition players taking throw ins or loudly squawking when they're taking a corner. The best example is the guy who plays Pilgrim Pete at Argyle and Foxy for the Plymouth Raiders. The guy is nuts and hilarious.

As for the Robertson crime, we all have sat navs ( me excluded ) so we all take our eyes off the road to look at something else whilst driving. I'm not exempt from this i myself have averted my eyes briefly from the road to fiddle with something. We've ALL done it and those who say they haven't are telling porkies. In Robertsons case i still fail to see how he could have crashed whilst changing songs on his cd thingy, i mean how f*cking long was the bloke looking at it?!! The trick is to GLANCE at something for a split second and keep on doing so until the minor task mid-drive is completed. I still fail to see how someone could crash if driving with a certain degree of care. Obviously the bloke is a bit thick and he's killed someone but he committed an act that millions of motorists do on a hourly basis when inside their cars so i wouldn't boycott TUFC if Robertson signed. McCormick on the other hand, enough said. Even if we signed a player that wasn't drunk but was driving like a total c*nt then i'd have to consider a boycott as me personally wouldn't do this but i've done what Robertson has done albeit with due regard for myself, passengers and fellow road users and also with the use of my brain as well as my eyes and hands. Robertson just must be a complete dolt.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I certainly haven't. As much as I like the idea of Mr Anonymous, my tips are always right, unlike hers...

Matt has been rumbled
Andy - I normally agree with your posts but on this occasion you are talking nonsense. Robertson was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving, that's hardly a trivial offence.
He was driving at 124 mph at the time of the accident and was apparently fiddling with his ipod at the time.
Thats 54 mph over the legal speed limit and he clearly wasn't paying attention as he ploughed into the back of another car.
To compare that to someone looking at their sat nav is absolutely ridiculous. His 32 month jail sentence quite rightly reflected the seriousness of the offence.
