Bristol Rovers thread

Post by AustrianAndyGull »

Just to give you all the heads up that i shall be away on holiday after the Morecambe game so i won't be able to do the Bristol Rovers thread. I'll be driving back from Norfolk on that day and shall have ears tuned to the radio but obviously i'll be gone all week so won't be able to do the thread. If one of you kind folk could do the honours then that would be superb and i'll be back for the first match of the season. Hope you've all enjoyed the oddness that has been many of the matchday threads this season and thanks for reading them and for all the kind words.

I might be able to send a few brief posts whilst i'm away but my mobile is pretty sh*t and it takes me about half and hour to write a short paragraph!

In addition, i know the season hasn't finished yet but when the pre-season games come around again it would also be great if someone could put those threads up as i don't live in the area and there are often games that get played that i don't know about like the smaller affairs so you down in Devon would be best placed to get them up.

Cheers all!!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I'll see if i can squeeze it in and post it saturday night after the Morecambe game and before i go away. I'll not be back from Morecambe until about 8pm so it might be late on saturday night when it goes up. If i simply haven't got time to do it then i'll let you know before i go.

Andy. As you are not here. And love Billy so much I will have a trawl through my knowledge base and if you can give me a bit of a heads up on things about US you think I need to know I will take up the mantle As Rovers would be my speciality living only about 7 miles from the ground and even less from the UWE stadium site. I have followed their fortunes since 1973. only a few years less than the Gulls. There isn't a lot I don't know about Rovers and their fans. I tend to see them most days.
This will be my debut Match preview report.

Go for it GG if you think you have the time, it will be good to read. You can put anything you want to mate, you don't need me to tell you my good man. Nickgull does all the 'proper' preview now based on the teams and stats and i just do all the odd stuff but go for it GG and write whatever you like. Looking forward to it. I have officially passed you the baton my friend. :-D

Oh Ok. Then I will give you a tale of epic adventure evil deringdoo and debauchery. Plots on top of plots. And webs of intrigue that will leave you trembling in your tartan woolly zipper slippers.
Oh sorry I forgot. It's a football match ain't it. For one minute I thought it was an audition for the next James bod Film. "Solo" Oops. Shouldn't have let that slip. oh well never mind. I will start a bit o research tonight and hopefully have it up soon.
BE AFRAID.... BE VERY AFRAID
P.S. My Price at last check was 44:1 with the going soft. (in the head)
