Noise for the Boys

Post by nickbrod »

Maybe it's just me but I read Alan Knill's comments on the OS and I feel encouraged. I then read some (not all) of the posts on here and feel deflated. Recriminations and negativity should be kept for when our fate is finally decided.
For me I'm making the 400 mile round trip and am determined to make as much noise as possible from myself and those who sit around me in the Family Stand.
Tomorrow we really have to be the 13th man.
The players deserve our 100% support regardless of their previous performances.
This thread is only for those who are positive.

:goodpost: There's too much negativity from some who call themselves supporters. It's understandable, but as you say, now is not the time, and we should get behind the team with our full support for the remaining games. For what it's worth, I believe we will avoid the drop. Another great escape..!! :-D

Talking of "noise" I'm guessing the drum will be going to the away end and am asking if anyone can bring a drum to the popside ? It makes so much difference to getting the fans starting a chant and it would really help to make an encouraging atmosphere for the players.

We don't CALL ourselves supporters, we ARE supporters but with a pessimistic view on things that's all ;-) , and like you say it's understandable so far this season. Anyway, Nick is right. Those that can, get your arses down to Plainmoor and sing and cheer, no gloomy posts until at least after the game should it be one of those days and we'll see where we're at come 5pm tomorrow. COYY!!!! :scarf:

Pat on the back Nick for making the trip. I would have gone down but i'm going on hols next week and need all my cash to get to Morecambe. I can't afford to make 2 long trips and also risk the car knackering up on me just before i go away. Morecambe will be the all important game regardless of whatever happens on saturday anyway so i'll be just glad to be there to swell the numbers and join in the singing.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
