Manse's Programme Notes

Post by nickbrod »

In his column in Easter Monday's MatchDay programme Manse wrote some interesting comments: " Alan has come in and given us a platform to work from. He has really encouraged the two wide players and the two front men to express themselves, with the safety net of the midfield and defence behind them."
Ok so it didn't work against Bradford for a number of reasons including losing Poke who apparently spent Sunday at hospital for some mystery illness.
What is refreshing about Manse's comments is that the tactics now differ considerably from Ling's.
Play like they did at Southend and Northampton then anything is possible at Gillingham.

Yep, attack is the best form of defence. Confident passing, intelligent running off the ball, pace on the wings. And above all, self-belief and determination.

There will always be the occasional poor performance, which in our position brings immediate pessimism. But there's no reason why our good form prior to the Bradford game should not continue, unless everybody has given up already!
