well done to simon baker and co, a 2for 1 ticket offer for next weeks two home games to get people along to boost the crowd hopefully, vouchers are in todays herald and again next week and can be exchanged at the ticket office or on the turnstiles on matchday, great idea so come on lets get the bay behind the team.
ive just read the small print and it seems they are only doing this for the family stand, not sure that is going to help a great deal , i was hoping it was for the whole ground.
Why do they not do it for the whole ground? It doesn't make any sense to me.
Good incentive for people though and well done to the club for offering this deal. Lets hope it will get a decent uptake and get some more bums on seats at Plainmoor.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
It's for the Family Stand cos that's been almost devoid of atmosphere since they opened Bristow's Bench. They had a three-Tuesday-nights offer in the Family Stand as well recently. Last season that stand was completely full for most matches cos all the season ticket holders were crammed in there; this season, most of them are very comfortable thank you on the Bench. They're just trying to get a better response behind the goal, as well as to hopefully improve the gate & tempt more people along for the future.

Thanks taxilady. When the old grandstand was open then was the family stand like it is now with nobody hardly in it then or is this a new problem as so many more people have migrated over to the bench?

It would've been better to extend the offer to the whole ground, but still it's a good idea by the club. It may cost a few quid in lost revenue, but the good will and possible improved atmosphere/support could prove invaluable.
I always used to go in the Family Stand (only started attending regularly again in the last two seasons; just occasionally for quite a while before that) ; but then I used to be a Mini Stander! Now I'm a fully-converted Bencher!
