Re: teaboo 100's postings

P.S - As for the club running a tighter ship - they couldn't even run a **** bath without numerous water-based issues arising! I want to give the club £40 to buy a new home shirt but does it want my cash? It would appear not.

Re: teaboo 100's postings

Teeboo knew who the signings were and let people know. Yes it is very unusual for someone to leak out all the unconfirmed signings before they are actually confirmed but only teeboo knows if he is breaking any code of conduct. If so then its his business. I couldn't care less anyway, we are grateful for his posts and the accuracy of his info. ( presuming he IS a he and not a she - if so sorry teeboo!). If i knew somebody had signed then i couldn't wait to let everyone know.

Re: like for like then

Hey i am such a moaning c**t it is untrue and i was berated before Ling was appointed for being like it on most of my posts but i feel quite positive about this season. We have potentially signed some good, promising players. Yes Stevens has been given a contract - may as well have given one to Shakin Stevens, McPhee is back and might score a goal this season but those apart i think we are progressing again. We definately had the best of Branno and IMO he will have a shocker at Bradford, Robinson was lightweight, a bit like Danny Stevens but can actually play football, Bevan has been replaced by Olejnik, Zebs has gone - whats the big deal? Stanley is the only player i was sad not for him to sign for us. We just need more attacking options which i am sure Ling knows this and we have the makings of a good team. That said, if Eunan or Robbo go then we may have a few problems.

Re: Zebs

Only crying about the transfer fee really if it is as low as some have been saying. Zebs going is no big deal IMO. Rovers haven't signed a world beater and we haven't lost a star player.

Re: like for like then

I should have really posted that we have a decent first 11 . Our squad in depth excluding that if you include stevens, macklin etc is poor i agree but i feel that they won't be first teamers anyway. Ling needs to start adding some firepower to the squad though pretty soon.

Re: like for like then

I think we,ve got the makings of a good, solid side teeboo, even Zebs does go as is expected then i am still very optimistic. I was far from it before Ling arrived and a few players had gone though! If we keep the squad together now as it stands with Zebs excluded, the arrival of some strikers and a second keeper will see us do just fine IMO. I am just worried about the style of football Martin will try and adopt. I don't really know what his side at Orient or Cambridge used to play like.

Dale Jennings!!!!!! Madness!!!

Just heard on the radio that BAYERN MUNICH are close to signing DALE JENNINGS, the young lad from Tranmere Rovers.I couldn't believe it and wondered what people thought of it. I've seen him a few times and he has scored a few individual pearlers but Bayern munich?!! Have the Prem clubs missed a trick here i wonder? I for one hope its true because the Germans know how to develop a player and instill a winning mentality. The English on the other hand know how to stifle young talent, turn them into negative robots and still like to throw money at them.

Re: England- 4th best in the world?

England are not even in the top 10 IMO. All they do is beat minor European nations in qualifying then get beaten by a team from the 'real' top 10 come tournament time. It will never change because England have only 1 truly world class player and that is Steven Gerrard. He puts in a shift week in week out and drives and dominates. Rooney does the odd world class pass, or shot but every four to fives games, Messi on the other hand is an absolute genius. He works hard, he trsacks back, he attacks players, he never falls over or really dives, he always finds an opponent and he scores goals - EVERY WEEK! The man is a genius. The rest of the England squad are just average players made to look good in the prem by playing alongside superior foreign players.

Re: Robertson next for transfer list

yes definately a huge blow if this rumour transpires to be true and we lose robbo. as it stands i am really pleased with the quality of our back line and i feel it is really, really strong. We have a good sound base from which to work and this could be jeopardised by the loss of robbo. Buckle just **** off now because you are starting to get on my tits! :red:

I only want players who want to play football and who appreciate the fact that they can make a living from it. ( rules out all prem players then!)

A bit like the russian e.g AKINFEEV the keeper is pronounced AKINFEYEV so the E acts like a Y sound.

I wasn't asking you! :na:

My initial thought was that the "J" would be silent. Something more like O-ley-nik.

I'll wait for the Austrian to make a judgement! ;-)[/quote]

Hi Jerry. Truth is is isn't an Austrian / German name so i am not 100% but i believe it is Czech in origin and pronounced OL-YA-NIK.

Re: Olejnik signs

Don't want to be a killjoy here Troj but us Austrians hate anything SOUND OF MUSIC based and if you go to Salzburg and pronounce your desire to visit the Hohensalzburg or the Mirabell Gardens because it was on the film you are likely to be met with looks of disdain and acts of dismissiveness from the locals. They understand that Americans must do this but cannot understand the Brits, presumably thinking they should have more sense. Please please do not invent a song based on the sound of music for Olejnik because, as an Austrian he will think you all small minded and lacking a real knowledge of his / our homelands culture ( Strauss, Mozart, Schiele, Klimt et al ). It is just like us Austrians trying to come up with a song based on the Carry on films coz thats all we know about the English.
