**23rd March v Hampton & Richmond** - Big Protest Day

The Great Muta! wrote: 12 Feb 2024, 21:00 WestLondonYellow has a good point, fans and CO keep banging on about these MILLIONS he's put into the club?, really?,I think this figure isn't right, it's not on transfer fees is I?, the two FA cup tv games with gate receipts would of recouped a bit, plus previous other seasons to this one where we've done well with gates/tv games and transfer fees in general,so all this cobblers about 7million or whatever it is, I'm not buying it, it hasn't happened.
Is it really that unfeasible that the club has lost millions since CO ownee us?

We probably bring in approx £40k a home game in gate receipts (estimate 2k fans at £20), plus some incidental matchday income. Cant imagine our sponsorship income is that high, plus prize money depending on our successes each season.

From that we have to pay player and other staff wages, rent on plainmoor, rates, utilities (imagine these have shot up in last 2 years), maintenance, etc.

Chuck in the covid impact to the mix as well.

It all soon adds up

WestLondonYellow wrote: 12 Feb 2024, 19:04 Has anyone seen the evidence of this £7million injection that's been put in, ie an official financial report with balance sheet and breakdowns. On Companies house, I've looked and I can't see the evidence, not that that means it doesn't exist, but i cannot find it. What i did find was the Osborne has his fingers in a lot of pies, and a mountain of dissolved companies in his wake.

Per the club accounts at June 2022 we owe £4.3m to Riviera Stadium Limited (formerly Gaming International), which is owned by CO. We also owe a futher £1.3m to unknown other creditors and £600k to bank debt. 18 months later no doubt this position has worsened

Ronny Nelson Joins Gulls On Loan

Is it GJ realising the defence needs stengthening, or just reacting to Moxey, Marshall and Tomlinson possibly being injured?

Either way, welcome to the club and good luck tomorrow!

New Blue Card

Football rules (and other sports) evolve over time as things change. There was a time before yellow and red cards, before panelty shootouts, before backpasses, before being able to take a kick off with one player.

If this can help to erradicate dissent and bring in a middle card for fouls which are more than a yellow but a red is too harsh, then all for it.

I thought a transfer embargo just stopped the affected club from signing players, and does not have any impact on players moving on

Collins is an odd one. He has spells where he plays really well, such as the run in last season, and I do agree with some of the comments that there is a decent player in there.

However there have been numerous games this season where I have barely noticed him in the game, he is just anonymous. More often than not I have no idea where he is actually playing or what his role is - I don't know if that is his fault or GJs setup

Clark Osborne/Jim Parker Interview

If we struggle to attract full time footballers, I don't see how we would fare any better with part time players.

The majority of the top part time clubs are based in areas with better job opportunites to Torbay/Devon, and in areas with a significantly higher catchment of available players.

To my mind it would become twice as difficult as we would be limited to part time players in the area, or having to persuade someone to move into the area and them getting a suitable job on top of football

I hope a pheonix club will never be required, however as fans we need to be cautious of what the future holds for our club.

The club accounts to June 2022 show a net debt of £4.1m. Within that we owe over £5m to CO and over £600k in bank debt. Thats 18 months ago so I imagine its already got significantly worse since then.

I can understand why some may view CO as a saviour for when he came in, but I feel very uneasy at the amount of debt our club now owes him. Other clubs have found this out to their peril, and we just need to look at what is happening at Reading for how things can turn with rotten owners.

None of us know what COs motives truly our, but he does not come across as someone who truly has our best interests at heart. Us fans are treated with contempt with the level of comms we get from all levels of the clubs hierachy.

I would much rather we had lived within our means and had owners who had links to the clubs, than being indebted to CO. It may have meant a few more relegations than we have already had, but would it really have been worse than the current position?
