Re: Ticket Fiasco
Went up this morning to buy tickets - what a joke!! Firstly there was a pair of people working together selling the tickets so effecitvely acting as one person - the numbers outside waiting were about 150 and if you were at the end of theline you were looking at at least an hour's wait. Secondly, wa...

Re: Replacement for Buckle (if he goes)
Whilst I appreciate that there are serious budget constraints for our club and the possibility that Buckle might go becuae he is ambitious, I would ask those who hold the purse strings to think in the long term. We have a wonderful opportunity to build the club to become an establised Div 1 side, a ...

Re: There's No Pleasing Some People
I can't stand this negative attitude. Its portrayed by people who are scared of success and cannot manage it. I'm with Trojan on this - this person can p*** right off. I want promotion for my beloved club. ' Be careful what you wish for' - load of bo**ocks!!!

Re: Shrews fans on Branno
Can't believe it was only 4,100 approx - been to Plainmoor enough to be able to judge the crowd pretty well. Seemed more than 4,000 to me. Does this figure include away fans? As far as Shrews winding up Branston - forget it -too much of a professional for that !

Re: League 2: Rotherham United vs Torquay United
We are in te playoffs!!! Crap perfromance today but who cares? Indeed, we now avoid Stanley and that awful pitch. Could it be that the footballing Gods are smiling on us? Could our name be on the final promotion spot? Tha would be soooooooooo good !!!! Off for a very large one or two or three!

Re: League 2: Torquay United vs Wycombe Wanderers
Fantastic perfromance by the boys today. Just could not score. Thought Branston was brilliant - everything you could ask for at this level. Confident that we will turn over Burton - will not be easy but I feel we can do it. Any neutral or occasional Torquay fan cannot have failed to enjoy the game a...

Re: League 2: Torquay United vs Port Vale
Enjoyed the game. P.Vale are a decent side and I thought a draw was a fair result. I did think Buckle got his tactics wrong today - not sure you can play 4 forwards and O'Kane in the same side. It soon became evident that the midfied needed Ostler and I thought Buckle would have brought him on at ha...

Re: League 2: Torquay United vs Lincoln City
Great result today - well done to Buckle and the lads. Successful sides show they can win at the 'business end' of the season - we are donig that. I've got a good feeling about getting to the playoffs - although I think it will go down to last game of the regular season - never been to Rotherham - w...

Re: League 2: Torquay United v Shrewsbury Town
As the saying goes 'It does'nt get any better than that'! Fantastic display today from the team and Buckle. They all played well but I thought Branno and Stanley were fantastic. They both deserve contracts for next season. We need to sign them asap!!! Great to be a Torquay fan tonight. Even the unme...

Re: As I walk around town......
Many of thse ideas seem good but the truth of it is that we need to appoint a marketing manager with a wealth of experience and success. Yes, it might be expensive in the short term, but in the long run we will feel the benefits. We need a marketing strategy for the next five years combined with cle...

Well done to the lads and Buckle today. Great reslut, very entertaining second half. Thought Stanley was immense - mom by a long way. Anyone know if Key was injured?

Re: Play-offs or Consolidation ?
Fletch, Accept your argument so far, but the point I was making that the squad was not really added to when we got promotion. I recall only the FAT one signing and indeed most of the fans being surprised at the lack of transfer activity that summer. Anyway, back to the main point. I do not like the ...

Re: Play-offs or Consolidation ?
I will take promotion every time. The only reason we got relegated the last time from Div 1 was because there was a refusal to invest ANYTHING in the squad in preparation for the new season!
