Transfer discussion 25/26
Liam Sercombe is a free agent, Exeter born.
35 now, so wouldn’t be looking to build a squad around him. However for a year or 2 he could absolutely do a job for us, as Moxey did.

Connor Riley Lowe? Think he’s turned us down before on account of rather staying part time.

I’ll kick silly season off.
Will Jenkins Davies released by argyle. Would happily see him sign on.

Torquay United vs Boreham Wood
A sad way for Deano to bow out. He’s been incredible for us over the past few years. Will be hard to replace. Think he’s due to join up with Asa at Tiverton and take up a coaching role at Exeter City.

Torquay United vs Boreham Wood
Can’t complain. The better team won. Faster, stronger, better shape, game management etc. We never got a sniff. Clear display of what we need to be next season.
As I’ve said before, we haven’t really improved as the season has progressed. Best performance was home to Chelmsford with Ben Seymour in the starting lineup! Can’t be using the new team excuse, we remained ok, fairly good, but not dominant. As Boreham Wood demonstrated today.
Some tough decisions to be made but we need a couple of older heads.

Torquay United v Bath City. Saturday 22nd March KO 3m.
Great result. Did well against a team of experienced bruisers. Next season they’ll be pushing for play offs. Awful football but sadly it’s effective for this level.
Referee was diabolical, had no grasp of the game, nor the rules. Most notably playing on after the ball bounced off his hip with bath on the attack.
Tomlinson will learn a lot playing alongside the likes of Parselle and Batten, could have done with one of those over the past couple of years!
Wannell and Williams, Yeovil’s first choice centre back pairing chose to come and watch their mates foulston and young, over travelling to Solihull to watch their team. Serious issues within that Yeovil camp!

Torquay United v Salisbury, Tuesday 11th March ko7.45pm
We seem to be getting worse, this whole “new squad” dynamic is wearing thin. The majority have played 40+ games together. We don’t appear to have improved much as the season has gone on, I don’t think we’ve had a convincing performance for about 6 months. The likes of Truro are consistently blowing teams away. It’s going to take some big changes to get us out of this league next season. The league standard has been poor this season, but we’ve been below even that.

Chippenham v Torquay Tues 4th March 7:45pm
Would love to see us start with a 4-4-2, Cooke and Zanzala up top, have some crosses whipped in from Jay/Young/Carson/Thomas.
The Chippenham pitch is terrible. We struggle to play pretty football at the best of times, this is not the pitch to attempt it.

Slough v Torquay Tues 21st Jan 7:45pm
Attacking midfielder, however he played up top for Exeter during their promotion season and notched 20 (give or take). Would be happy with this. Harry Kite is another potential. Neither have played much football for over a year though.
