I dont entirely agree with your post Dave as while the club has exceeded expectations so far this year ,I would of thought that the club would of wanted to go one step further and gain promotion.
They may well ( and I hope ) do it with their current squad but in order to safeguard any injuries another loan ( forward ) signing would of been a safer option during the run in until the end of season.
I understand the club has a small budget to play with but after the playoff final disappointment from last year we should not sit back and say oh well we have done very well and if we go up its a bonus as it doesn't make sense.
Crewe have got Bodin as an emergency loan until the end of season just for the reason what I have stated above so their is no reason why we could not do the same.

The next three games will judge how good we are
Sat 4 A Rotherham
Sat 11 H Shrewsbury
Tue 14 A Cheltenham
If we can pick up 7 points from these three games I'd be happy.

Would of liked to see us bring in another striker with Howe Injured and Bodin away on international duty as I still feel we are a bit light up front. hope McPhee proves me wrong.

According to "This is Cornwall" Martin Rice lost his place in the starting line up at Truro City and from what I saw of him in a Torquay Jersey he was horrendous at crosses .Doesn't give me much faith for the coming season hopefully our no 1 keeper does not get injured.

I'm all for given a guy a second chance but not from a goalkeeping perspective!

I have serious concerns as to the way the club is heading ,Sold both our Leading goalscorers in the past 7 months Benyon to Swindon and now Zebroski to Bristol Rovers and while we get a decent fee for Benyon it beggars belief that we only got $35k for Zebroski.
After last season s good performance we should be building on this success but with the way things have been going we will struggle in the coming season. God I hope I'm wrong but with exception of the new keeper and Oastler we have not brought in anybody of a decent standard. It s going to be hard to find a forward who can give you 15 goals a season and it makes me think there has been more going on's at the club and behind its back since Buckle left.

We could get ( Zorro ) Tim Sills back to play in goal seeing he did a stirling part time job for us a couple of seasons ago !!

West Ham at Home for me ,Would be a great start to the season.I seem to remember we beat them at home a few years back, I'm not sure of the Cup competition though.

Wow, This appointment came out of left field, wasn't even in the mix last week. I would of preferred a more senior coach ( Hughes or Butterworth ) with league contacts to bring in the right sort of player that we need after all the departures. still we have to give him a chance and he may well turn out to be a good acquisition.

Sounds like he could be on his way to the Cobblers!!

Now confirmed on Bristol Rovers Website signing a two year deal with Rovers after a medical. bad loss for the gulls .

Cant see him coming back to us now as we didn't go up . I reckon he will go to rovers along with the Pickler.
