I walked out 10 minutes from the end but plenty left before that.
This was another disgraceful performance from a bunch of loanees who don't care what happens to the club. In a month's time they leave and run back to their parent clubs. They will be replaced with another wave of nobodies who have similar interest levels. That is the cold hard truth.
The club is dead. We are now, just a team, not a club. I don't know what the attendance was today but it looked worse than last week and as I stood on the popside and looked around, probably 30-40% of those around me were chatting about anything other than the game. Nobody cares anymore because for the last 5-6 years we've been served a diet of terrible football and mis-management.
People need to stop bleating about Nico. He had his time and was just as tactically useless with a contact book short of numbers.
Osborne will get what he wants. End of.
I'm totally **** off tonight.

I'll tell you why; because he is unemployable in that role and he won't get another manager's job.

Exactly, we all have a choice and sadly the club is losing supporters because of the way it's been run the past few years.

I don't think anybody else stepped up and that's the problem. We have no leaders, nobody who wants the responsibility or opportunity to score a goal and run to the popside kissing the badge etc to show passion. We have a bunch of low paid mercenaries who really don't care about the history of the club or the threat of the club closing down.arcadia wrote: ↑13 Jan 2018, 18:31 Played reasonably well but we lack at centre half the new lad relies on his positional sense but on odd occasions it let him down and his lack of pace let him down but he is a good solid player. The team had a lack of balance but once they settled down we started to play well.
Who ever gave Jamie Reid the ball for the penalty should hang their head he would be the last person to give the ball to.![]()
How many of those players today really gave a shit about a minutes silence for Cedric Munslow???

I'll be back next week too but only because I've got a ST and have already paid for the game.markw wrote: ↑13 Jan 2018, 18:10 It's the hope that kills isn't it , for periods of the game we were popping the ball around on the floor , 1 and 2 touch football, and we looked good , But , it's the lack of a focal point , not necessarily a big target man , but a forward who knows where and more importantly when to make the runs . I still hoped that even 2-1 we could come back , which we should have but...
I can understand the frustration , we all are , we have been served this rubbish for the last 5/6 years , but venting that frustration at the players , albeit at the end doesn't help , This frustration needs to be focuses at the literny of inexcusable boards , or now owner who have settled for "just enough" , just enough funds, just enough experienced players and managers.
will I be back next week, probably , will I hope we can win , yep , will I hope we can stay up , yes .... It's that hope again ....
The big question is how many people will attend next season, if we are in NL South? I won't be. Time for a break again.

Another depressing afternoon in Plainmoor. If Goslings early howler had gone in, it MIGHT have been different. That's a big MIGHT though.
Absolutely no end product and the penalty spoke volumes for the team right now. Redi appeared to be the only player up for it yet he had a nightmare game and I don't understand why Young or O'Sullivan or Dowling or Davis didn't offer to take it. They all had reasonable games and far better than Reid. As predicted, Reid missed and the misery continued.
We dominated the second half yet had nothing to show for it and once the Eastleigh second goal went in, heads dropped.
I posted on Twitter this morning that I no longer look forward to going to Plainmoor. I can think of a dozen other things I'd rather do yet I used to enjoy going to every game and a fair few away games. Those days are long gone and now I only show up because I have a ST until May. Next year I'll get my Saturdays back. A crowd of under 1500 tells me that I'm not alone with those feelings either.
I thought Dowling, Efete, Davis, Young and O'Sullivan had decent games but that's it. Reid a terrible liability.

Now that our owner is getting a bit of stick again, it's only a matter of time before a further Dave Thomas "Owner breaks his silence" exclusive containing several platitudes to be followed yet again by prolonged silence, inactivity, no 5 year plan, no local board, no fans forum, no stadium in 2020 and a partridge in a b*stard pear tree.

Only after he switched from midfield to central defence. He was awful when he first arrived.gullintwoplaces wrote: ↑10 Jan 2018, 20:14I agree. Let’s also not forget Wes Saunders, an Englishman who joined the Gulls from Dundee. A fine player.

Rather than drag it out, I would rather the club fulfills its obligation to complete it's fixtures and then folds at the end of the season. We can then all move on with our lives.
Following United has never been easy but the last 5 years have been a waste of time.
