Not strictly true, we lost 3-0 to ten men Cheltenham under Cox, football was equally as dire under Cox.tommyg wrote: Cox may have f*** us over but we were always competitive even if we did come up short. Losing 4-0 to Barrow and 3-0 at Basingstoke wouldn't have happened under Cox's watch because he is tactically a better manager than Nicholson and knows how to set up a side which is hard to beat. One win in nine is pathetic but not surprising because we appointed a complete rookie who isn't qualified. Now we're stuck with him and what makes it worse is that he has few contacts. We've signed two players on loan who couldn't get in a team which is somehow worse than us. How is that supposed to make us better?

James Hurst suspended by club
He was out both nights, I saw him Friday night at 2am in park lane with Tyrone marsh, and then I saw the altercation in prestige Saturday night when he was out with more of the first team. Of course being out on the Saturday night isn't an issue as long as you don't punch people, but the Friday night was a bit stupid, Torquay is a small place did he really think he wouldn't get spotted out. Going to be a shame to lose him because he has looked our only threat at times, not sure sheps is anywhere near good enough to replace him.

Torquay United v Wrexham game postponed
Think it explains why he is playing at the level he is, undoubted talent but obviously has issues off the pitch! Is he the player with attitude problems set to leave on loan as rumoured?

Torquay United v Wrexham game postponed
Visited prestige on a night out this evening and witnessed James Hurst hit some one, got escorted out by bouncers n ended up running away from police, was duly arrested and put in back of a riot van, I don't tend to go torquay for a night out often but this weekend have ended up their twice, of which I've witnessed hurst out the night before a game and the second night watched him put in the back of a riot van, embarrassing, also to be fair the rest of the torquay players looked embarrassed by his actions, Shame that a talented problem has such problems off the pitch

Be surprised if Hurst is playing, he was in park lane with Marsh at 2am last night and on the beers so not the ideal preparation for a game?!

I asked if Kev had any contacts at clubs that he'd be looking to explore a partnership with and also if he could confirm the John Milton rumour.
He said that eunan had rang him the morning he got the job to wish him well and let him know that Eddie Howe had said he'd be willing to help him out with loanees. He also said he had Colin lee who has links with Chelsea now to call on.
He confirmed that John Milton had also been in touch as he's a good friend of Nicho's and offered to help out too. So sounding positive!
I also liked his desire to build bridges with the community rather than just begging more people to come to plainmoor he wants to give them a reason to come to plainmoor and I think that's crucial!

Hmmm Speiss was the keeper who looked far from convincing in our home game against rovers last season, scored a terrible own goal under pressure from acheampong

I think if Hargreaves and hodges were here we'd have definitely looked at him as he played under Hodges at Truro! I'd imagine he's on more money at a top Norwegian club than what we could have offered anyway!

I wonder if we've spoke to Kieffer Moore at all, big tall centre forward who started at Dorchester and then was signed by Yeovil, scored a couple goals in the championship and league one and also had a run of games playing centre back last season. Been released by sturrock, Paignton born and bred and I doubt he commands a massive wage so may be worth looking at?

Geogaghan is a man mountain, huge throw on him, probably the best we'll be able to afford although I don't think he's that great defensively! Was impressed with the number 9 on the wing, think he scored 2 or 3 times, beat his man every time, number 2 who started at right back and then moved into defensive midfield also looked very assured and knew how to pick a pass, weren't impressed with number 12 who I believe was nardiello? Couldn't beat a man, couldn't pass and couldn't shoot! Was the centre half paired with geogaghan odofin? Thought he did well. Opposition were poor but still a good win! Think yeoman deserves a contract and to actually start games! Not be thrown on when we're losing with ten minutes to go like Hargreaves did so many times!

Very small car park that will fit 15 cars at a push, room for about 50 cars on the side street, and churston grammar school usually allow use of their car park across the road with another 50ish spaces

With it being Downes' second sending off this season for violent conduct does he get an extra game ban or is it just the standard 3 matches?
