Torquay United vs Boreham Wood

knightmaregull wrote: 03 May 2025, 17:17 The players gave everything against a very physical opposition. I personally don't get all this negativity. What a season it's been. Anyone spouting dross such as that we should have pissed the league should go and find a new sport to watch!

Another day we win that. Today we didn't. That happens, take the positives, take a break and get prepped for Buckland away pre season!
What were the positives? Off the field, exceptional. Incredible season. On it, very disappointing.

Torquay United vs Boreham Wood

We were awful. A performance so typical of the Wotton era. Zero attacking intent, so passive, set up to try not to lose. Got what we deserved, not a chance we were scoring from open play. Time to move on from him

Torquay United vs Boreham Wood

exilegull wrote: 03 May 2025, 16:02 Sorry but that was utter dross - tactically it was inept and there were some really poor quality performances all round. They'd been caught two against one on the right hand side a couple of minutes before the goal and were lucky to escape and yet the defence went completely missing again.
Could not agree more, it was a terrible watch. Utter dross is so accurate.

Torquay United vs Boreham Wood

A performance 100% typical of the Wotton era. Zero attacking intent, zero game plan to even try to attack. Not a chance we were ever going to score from open play in that game with the way he set up. Boreham Wood absolutely worthy winner, good luck to them in the final.

Plainmoor development

Enjoying this thread. I’ve always thought the bench looks a bit unfinished/scruffy at the bottom - however it is the best view of the game by a mile in that stand. I used to love the standing area in the previous grandstand but unfortunately unrealistic now.

Pop side and Wollens always going to be tricky going higher with the housing behind which probably only realistically leaves the family stand with the space behind it, but unsure id want a lopsided looking stadium.

As mentioned already, dream would be a tier of seating/hospitality boxes above the pop side terrace, would be amazing!

Although realistically the ground is fit for purpose with its current capacity. I think people just like watching a winning team regardless of the league we’re in. We start losing in any league the crowds will drop off

The Drama of the next 49 Days in the NLS

If we’re at home for our play offs game(s), I assume we’ll have to offer the whole away terrace to visiting supporters?

Not overly confident any of the teams in the play off could fill it? Maidstone maybe?

Torquay United vs Dorking Wanderers (VNLS game 4) - August 24th 2024

Fantastic win. All about getting momentum this time of season.

I’d love to see the away terrace open to him support if the crowds keep coming. Always looks a bit sad scoring in front of an empty stand. Must give the lads a huge life when attacking a stand full of supporters
