Taunton Town vTorquay United Tuesday 19 Dec KO 19.45

happytorq wrote: 20 Dec 2023, 15:54 Nah, I don't buy that. We were playing hoofball earlier in the season, but not because of Jarvis. It was because we were crap. We had no midfield at all so defenders were forced to aimlessly lump it long. That's not even what Jarvis is best at anyway. I feel confident that when he comes back he'll contribute because the team overall is playing a much better style of football.

that's not to say a long ball is automatically 'bad' - look at Halstead's quick clearance to Collins in a recent game. Goal. That's great play, even if the ball does travel 60 yards before getting to Collins.

Previously we appeared to have no plan, so the default was to kick it long to take away from our own area (that didn't work because that meant it just came back)
Let’s wait and see. Hope I am proved wrong

Jarvis returns and the beloved Hoofball returns..I cannot wait !

The complete lack of comments from supporters really sums up all you need to know.
As for Edwards comment we have the best manager
Is that why we got relegated and find ourselves in the 5th tier I wonder.
Dragging up the old chestnut of blaming the referee at Ashton Gate again. Johnson should have recruited and covered for the injuries. Yes the ref was shit but so was his game management

Not particularly concerned about Donnellan departure.
One of the Marquis that got us relegated let’s not forget .
We are still blessed with the rest of the losers.
They all owe us including the Management.
Minimum requirement remains Promotion this season.

who has reportedly been recalled by Fleetwood

Lee won't be around for Xmas dinner then!
If Dolan has been recalled, that’s the heartbeat
Nobody else like him in the midfield, would be a massive loss

Dartford v Torquay United, 25th Nov 2023, 3pm

Very Unfortunate 🤔 after a good weeks training according to Johnson. An interesting week ahead and it’s getting more toxic by the day.
Today another shambles of an awayday 🤬

Stoneybroke wrote: 16 Nov 2023, 15:36 See that Yeovil have signed a Central Defender on loan from Bristol City to cover for one of their players injured on Tuesday night.
What is known in the trade as a Reactivate signing .. getting cover in quickly after an injury.
It wouldn't occur to Johnson to act as quickly or indeed at all !!
We have only needed a centre back since August !
Reactive signing and that’s the difference.
I won’t bother with this meaningless fixture, the real game was the league one and we failed miserably.
