Very sad news, my condolences to his family and friends.
Seeing him during his first spell at the club it was clear that he was capable of playing at a higher level.
RIP Paul and thank you for the memories.

Torquay Utd under 18
McGavin is plenty good enough if he’s playing in a good side, unfortunately we’ve had lightweight Hanson with him, Hall obviously not the force he was, Lapslie injured or a booking waiting to happen..... McG is a real threat from set pieces, be it either delivering a good ball or taking a shot himself. I can hear it next year when a new guy blasts a free kick towards Teignmouth and someone says, McG would have at least worked the keeper!
Lots of players aren’t the quickest but they are good readers of the game, perhaps Johnson’s Stone Age management style didn’t get through to him, a more insightful coach / manager just might.

Staying Up - Relegation Battle
Dawson and Jarvis are at different stages of their careers.
Whilst Dawson is a very capable player at our level or even one above when fit it’s clear from the injuries he’s had that his playing days are numbered, so get out there and finish with a meaningful contribution!
Jarvis hopefully has several years left in the tank, but let’s face it, before he came to us he’s record was underwhelming! We’ve put his career back on track, so come on, help us stay in the NLS before you depart!

I understand that Mal, a former club captain has passed away at the age of 85.
A Welsh international and over 120 appearances for TUFC, his last professional club before moving to non league football.
I hope the club can acknowledge this.
RIP Mal…. I’m sure he’s wishing the Yellow Army well!

I think the population of Devon plus Cornwall would be sufficient. The area supports a number of Southern League sides, if you could recruit the best two or three from each you potentially have a competitive NLS side, although perhaps not one that would immediately push for promotion. Tiverton for example have taken players on loan from Argyle (Plymouth not Okehampton!) WSM and Gloucester City, I’m sure we’d be a bigger pull than Tiverton.
