Torquay United v Truro City Sat 16 Nov KO 3pm
We need a midfielder like Tom Lapslie. Someone with a bit of fight and heart in there.

Torquay United v Chelmsford
Agree about the Ref. Awful. Must say though for large chunks of the game our midfield seemed to disappear. Young had a great debut. In the end I was glad to draw as I could see them sneaking a late winner. Trying hard but not flowing yet.

Torquay United v Worthing Tue 22nd 7.45 KO
If Torquay are going to kick off at 1945 local fish and chip shops should consider extending their closing hours till 2230 in case of referees finding extra time out of nowhere. Just saying.

Where did the ref get 6 minutes??? They very nearly equalised and worse it meant I missed the chip shop by 4 minutes. Gutted.

I've got nothing against hoof ball. I used to love those John Beck sides. I always loved the 442 bang it straight into their box high. They never like it up em! All this tik tak Spanish passing gets right on my goat BUT if you are going to play it DON'T put two absolute vertically challenged strikers up front. Buy a couple of huge, ugly target men and let's get back to the old British way of playing. I do, of course, make exception of the great great Stevie Cooper, who though not 6'4 played like he was!

RIP Alan Little
Remember him well. Gritty, hard midfielder. Always gave 100%. Think his brother was Brian Little the Villa man. RIP Alan and thanks for the memories.

Home kit launch
Caused a bit of confusion in Turkey last week when I tried to buy one. Turkish chap assured me he had loads of them. When he brought them out from the shop they were all a dark shade of red. Politely declined!!!

Haven't we morphed into the yellow. I always thought that when we changed from the original black and white, the actual colours chosen and worn was gold and blue. The gold signified the golden sands of Torquay and the blue for the sea. Would love to see us introduce a gold home shirt. It would be a break from the bright yellow.

Next season.
See other clubs are posting dates of pre season friendly. All a bit worrying. Really need to get a move on if we are not going to be left behind.

According to my boy, Collins is jacking in football. Apparently he's had enough. My lad reckons he wishes Torquay all the best and acknowledged he was not great this season. I wish him all the best in his new career whatever that may be. He will miss the Nippy Chippy in Bisop on a Tuesday night!!!
