Gary Johnson, stick or twist?

UnitedinDevon wrote: 05 Jan 2023, 22:15 i dont think GJ does himself any favours by running away at FT when we draw or lose

Has the ego to take the applause on a win (albeit only once at home in the league this season) but not the tescticles to at least acknowledge travelling fans
Again, why would you go and approach fans who are shouting abuse at you and wanting you sacked? It makes no sense

Gary Johnson, stick or twist?

DevonBee wrote: 05 Jan 2023, 21:24 Johnson stated you are either with us.........or against us
Quite disrespectful with what has been served up this season, and especially to the 802 at Yeovil......400 who had stood and supported this
awful team in the Pi33ing rain. A few had chanted Johnson out at the end, and he obviously did not like it.
You would expect a Manager representing the club, who needs supporters on his side more than ever would know better.
Just my opinion....an apology would not go amiss.
I imagine anyone would ignore fans who are chanting that they want him out, can't really be surprised with the reaction

Formation

Mr Tea808 wrote: 05 Jan 2023, 12:02 For me, I wouldn't play Jarvis on his own upfront, not to sure what the answer is, but Halifax are a big team, with some big lads, Jarvis on his own could struggle, For me I'd somehow get Wearne, Evans and De Dilva/Goodwin in the starting XI because I feel it needs width and pace.
Agree with this, to beat big defenders we need to get the ball down and be direct with our dribbling

New Signing - Ricky Aguiar

There is little point in sacking the manager now, no one who is any good will take us on in this position.

Unless you have a budget to bring in players permanently you have to resign yourself to picking from loans or free agents on the short term which is going to be hit and miss because the good/great players have already been signed on.

What you don't do is already call someone an awful signing when they have yet to kick the ball yet.

As said before, you can have an opinion, I can also say that your opinion is moronic.

Mr Tea808 wrote: 04 Jan 2023, 19:27 Sorry,I thought this was a platform to express your views?, I must be mistaken. You can or anyone can disagree with me, that's fine, totally get that, but I've never claimed once to of managed, most fans are the same, but there's no need for the sarcasm/pseudo intellectual vibes from yourself, trying to be clever, with lines about me not managing,
Not trying to be clever in the slightest, every post you're negative and constantly moaning about signings, you couldn't do any better yet run your mouth like you know what's best for this team, in reality you spend your time on this site being miserable and knocking players before they've even kicked a ball for us.

Mr Tea808 wrote: 04 Jan 2023, 19:18 GullsUnited, don't be clever, who on this forum has managed?, And I don't mean 6 a side at clennon valley, it's a view, an opinion, and whilst I'm on this forum, I'll give it, I've not had a personal dig at anyone, TUFC are sailing into the abyss, and now isn't the time for untried youngsters-in my view. And for what is worth, I never claimed or said I've managed any team, have I?
You seem to have a knowledge of exactly what is needed without having any experience of management, give your opinion all you want but you should equally expect people to disagree with you, this isn't a personal dig, just pointing out that you have a lack of experience so your opinion means diddly squat

I'm sorry, which teams have you managed?

Gary Johnson, stick or twist?

DevonBee wrote: 04 Jan 2023, 11:19 Yes seems so , however a pretty poor number of votes.
Just read Ellis returned to Barrow not good at all
With the hamstring injury he'd have to do his rehab with Barrow and with his age this won't be a short term injury

No worries, I guess we'll be seeing you again when we're winning?

Torquay United v Yeovil Town - 26th December 2022

notnow wrote: 29 Dec 2022, 05:21 Probably the worst and least effective team we’ve had in a long time. Even the team we had in the NLS were better than this lot. The effort seems to be there but that it. Young, inexperienced, inconsistent, inadequate. Andrews and donnellan were both in the Babbacombe bay hotel/cafe munching in to a full English breakfast 2 days before Boxing Day…I’m no sport nutritionist but not sure if that’s a good thing.
Just point out that on average a footballer will burn around 3400 calories a day, full English being about 1000 I'm not exactly seeing the problem

Torquay v Gateshead - 26th Nov 2022 - 15:00

And we scored a goal that looked a clear foul on their player

Very little difference between that and the Aldershot game?

Do me a favour! how about 5 more goals!!

We didn't look like scoring all afternoon, the final ball was rubbish all game

We are in a results situation now, performances don't get you points, 6pts from safety with a terrible goal difference

It's not good enough
Watched our goal back in slow motion and the defender went down far too easily for that to be a foul, on the flip side Mark had the ball in his possession before their player barges him to the ground, any decent referee sees that and gives a foul.

We are absolutely still laughing at you, not supporting your team because of the manager is about as plastic as it can get

So far you've named 6 loan players in the match day squad (7 if we include Goodwin) when we can only have 5
