Players Under Contract
Why do you assume that Jarvis is staying? - because he is under contract it will mean absolutely nothing if he wants to leave.
The powers at be have already said that he won't be going unless a big bid comes in, he's already reiterated that he's happy here after this years goal return which has been the best of his career, he's also stated that he wants to play for Johnson as he's the one who has given him his big chance.

Managers press conference today
Based on what people in the know have said, the core players will all be staying including Jarvis unless someone is willing to generously compensate us for him. Nouble and the loanees will be going, they are looking at Collins again for next season if he doesn't get into Newports squad and they'll look to make Dawson a permanent signingMr Tea808 wrote: ↑30 Apr 2023, 11:51 One thing that will be interesting is the big question, who'll be with us next season, I can't believe Jarvis and Halstead will stay on, probably not Nouble, ALL loanees will return, that leaves us with still some decent players,Hall,Dawson,Moxey,Martin and Lovett, but as for the rest, no thanks, they need to go now.. I'm also beginning to sense GJ is on an ego trip, think he wants to hammer Hungerford, Tonbridge, and Chippenham and tell us how great he is, I'm not buying into that..The reality is we are a 6th tier regional football side, who've got an owner who's intentions seem mysterious, no communication out of the club, full of old pals acts and hangers on, We should of used this time to move forward with a change, but it's just typical TUFC isn't it?.

Supporting the club by selecting games I assume when we're doing well? Would it not be better to find something else to do on a match if you're THAT unhappy?DevonBee wrote: ↑29 Apr 2023, 21:35 Not suprised Mr Tea808........not at all forward thinking by the club when change is needed. Rewarded for his complete failure this season on every aspect............he will need a good start, or it will turn toxic very quickly, and I am sure the fans will turn on him.
I have no plans to renew my season ticket with this news, but will continue to support the club and select the games i attend home and away.
A huge own goal todays news in my opinion![]()

We'll need as many people there to get behind the boys as every game is now the biggest game of our season

Torquay v Dagenham & Redbridge 25th March 2023
Had the position of looking straight along their back line for Nouble's goal, he didn't look offside if I'm honest but thats been the case a lot so not going to look into too much.Bristol_Gull wrote: ↑25 Mar 2023, 21:15 Match highlights

Stibbs looked dangerous in the highlights, midfield in transition looked non existent and defence were all over the place.
I wasn’t at the game so not in a position to comment, but the latter has become symbolic of what I have seen this season.
Not sure Nouble’s goal was offside - looked close
Why aren’t we scoring more to put the game to bed? Since GJ has been in charge we’ve never really had the strongest of defences (give a take a couple of decent individuals) but have compensated by scoring goals during the good days.
What’s happened?
It’s so disappointing.
Their winner did look like it took a slight deflection off Donnellan which seems unfortunately but only had ourselves to blame for not killing the game off sooner.

Aaron Jarvis, England C
He's on a 2 year deal so we'll make money either wayculmstockgull wrote: ↑20 Mar 2023, 09:29 If there is any truth in this rumour, I am all for it, we are going down, that was decided weeks ago and in any event Jarvis will not be with us in the south so for the sake of 9 games which will not make any difference to our season, lets be pragmatic any make some money while we can.

Torquay United v Wealdstone - 11th March
We seem to have a lot of refs in this thread, he hooks the player with minimal contact, I've seen worse challenges not given a free kick let alone a card, you can say that Tom puts the ref in that position but the ref still has a job to make the right call
